Reviews for By Their Fruits
WritingRin chapter 1 . 7/12
Oh cool. I’ve never thought this much about how she could help the village. And that’s a good point too about him fussing about school
Ember Reverie chapter 1 . 5/11
Love this. Kagome bringing her modern knowledge to help the village prosper is a very appealing idea.
StarlingChild4 chapter 1 . 7/7/2019
THIS IS SO GOOD! SUCH A BRILLIANT PIECE OF META/POST-CANON COMPLIANCE! :D :D I'm such a sucker for Inuyasha fics that add to the worldbuilding, especially the whole time traveling thing, and this is such a well-written one! I love the monk's reactions in everything, how at first he's suspicious, then disgusted, and then, slowly, inspired. Beautifully written and a wonderful oneshot! I love InuKag's warmth and contentment, their defense of each other, and the lingering personality traits of their youth while still being more mature. Bravo! *applauds*
SplendentGoddess chapter 1 . 5/19/2018
I can suspend disbelief. Especially since I'm not a historian either. Some of your ideas were super neat, too! Like using fox-fire to sterilize the bowls, LOL. All in all I enjoyed this immensely. It was mainly about the monk having his initial misconceptions shoved in his face, and turning one man's heart around, as he realizes he needs to rethink a few things. I LOVE those types of stories!
Guest chapter 1 . 11/18/2017
i started writing the following when i thought i didn't review it yet, although i know i had read it but since i wrote it all i figured i would just sign out and review as a guest. i still think it's a great story!

a very interesting read/watch would be james clavell's 'shogun' if you want some idea of japanese life set shortly after the sengoku jidai... it's from a gaijin (foreigner's) perspective and loosely based on a real historical figure and events. some of the mindsets and behaviors were like that throughout history to the end of the bakumatsu (around the time of the U.S. civil war) and became more westernized during the meiji era ('rurouni kenshin' anime/manga is set in meiji). you can watch the 5 hour miniseries in episodes at youtube, the book, as always is more in depth and detailed with more scenes but it does give an idea of the culture... from a 1970s american point of view (complete with 70s background music). i enjoyed it in the 70s and still do on occasion and i hope you'll enjoy it too.

Saphira W chapter 1 . 11/25/2015
I really like the topic you chose for the story. It was very clever. How it was hard for the monk to understand what was going on in the village, with a married monk who also has kids, a priest who not only is married and has kids, but her husband is a half-demon. Everything in that village is out of the ordinary. Clever, clever, clever. I think this is the first fic I read about this.
Nice work!
KodiakWolfe13 chapter 1 . 9/26/2015
That guy's mind was completely blown. It was actually kind of hysterical. XD
