Dang it's a pity this stopped updating. I never realized how sexy this pairing is. Gevanni is just as hot as Mikami, and together...nice. Not as nice and LightMika...but for those who swear by the awful LawLight pairing...this is a nice secondary pairing for Mikami. Poor Gevanni, though! The guy's so nervous, and Mikami really DID want to kiss him!

It's the first time I come across a MikamixGevanni fanfiction. I have shipped them from the very beginning, they're so "potential" as you say x))

This story is quite well written. You managed to depict perfectly Gevanni's cluelessness haha. He seems kinda cute in this. We haven't truly seen much of Mikami for now, he seems pretty mysterious ;)
As for the smutty parts... I think they're perfectly okay. Even more so if it's the first time you write this kind of scenes.

I'll confess that it's been a while since I watched the anime, so I had to google the characters, but I remember who they are now! So, in light of that, let's dig in! :D

[he repeated, while flicking on the signal...] - This sentence in particular is a bit long and wordy, and I think it's more complex than it needs to be. I'd recommend breaking it down into two sentences so it'll maybe flow a bit better. [he repeated while flicking on the signal for a left turn. He started to look for an opening...]

[most people would take offense to being followed] - This made me laugh so hard. It's true. I like Gevanni already and the way you write him. xD He seems rather normal and in touch with people, which is in stark contrast to someone like Near.

[all the bases of when he] - This sounds weird to me. Maybe something like [He was just covering all the bases, like he always did when he gave new orders] or something like that?

I like Near's reasoning, but it almost seems too easy and on-the-nose, if you know what I mean? At that point, it wouldn't take Near to realize the connection there, since it seems like a pretty obvious one. Anyone familiar with the case should be able to figure that out lol.

I like how you set this up, and I'm interested to read the other chapters. It's a promising pairing, and I do so like the light/dark sort of aspect there. I'm interested to see how you decide to write these characters and how they tie in with each other. :3

So, Gevanni just followed him back to his apartment to talk, even though Gevanni thinks that Mikami was looking for him because he figured out that he's part of the SPK? That's not a very smart plan on Gevnani's part...

*sigh* And it seems that Gevanni isn't really picking up that Mikami was actually concerned about him, since he's so absorbed in his own self-pity...

Ah, you always the end chapter on a cliffhanger... T_T (although I can pretty much guess what's going to happen next.)

Mikami isn't really being very careful about how he's going about this search. It sounds like he's literally just walking into any place he thought Gevanni might have gone and asking people about the dude...

And poor Gevanni doesn't even dare to hope that the reason Mikami is searching for him might be that he was also attracted to him. Or at the very least, he's worried about him.

Ooh, Gevanni needs to pay more attention! He found him while he was distracted. XD

Oh, so he's back on surveillance duty again, like nothing ever happened...

Ooh, what's Mikami doing? He's going against his routine! There is a disturbance in the Force! XD

Ooh, now Near is all suspicious... he might have said it's good, but I bet he's still suspicious that Mikami might know more than Gevanni thinks he does...

Ah ha ha. XD I love Gevanni's thought process here. He knows he shouldn't have said it, but it's too late! It's already out of his mouth and he can't take it back!

And now he had a chance to cover up his blunder but ended up admitting that he likes him *that way* after all. :D

That entertainment center sounds weird-looking. He hasn't even thought that maybe the reason they can't find out about Mikami's past relationship is because Mikami hasn't been involved with anyone? He was a nerdy kid... and after that he was all focused on *justice*.

ha ha, Gevanni and his fantasies again... Now he's fantasizing about a sweat drop? XD

Hmm, the phone call with the twoing company is a rather anti-climactic ending for this chapter.

Ooh, Gevanni is being all sneaky. Maybe he does have a brain after all. But is he doing this for the investigation or just for his own perverted agenda? That is the real question! XD

It's cute how hes worried about his new friend getting mugged on the way home, although it's kind of funny that he so casually threw Kira's name into the conversation when he is one of the Kiras. XD Obviously he is not suspicious of Gevanni at all (yet, anyway) and thinks he's just some unlucky guy he happened to meet.
