Huh so the Reapers are a crew of black dragons. Kinda badass. Also it seems you made Shepherd have access to some pretty badass old magic or at least he WILL have it. Hopefully he can fully integrate the information.

I like the idea of doing it all old timey and fantasy like. Its rather interesting.

Maybe it's because both games are from bioware but I just feel Dragon Age :)
Anyway talk about different. Still even with that said I think you were pretty close to canon. You changed the race and place and the whole "costumes" to suit this world but the story is very close. Still it's a first chapter so let's see how long will you keep it so similar.
I'm glad you give Shepard magical capabilities and I also liked how you made Geth into undeads. I expected arcane construct but this is better.
Overall I'm not sure if I'm glad you started a new story given how much I look forward to Nine Minutes (and also the Perfect Jutsu) but this seems very promising and after all it's up to you :) So very good job and let's see where it will lead us ;-)

The idea does have promise, but I don't think you went far enough with the idea. For instance, I would have changed the ships into airships ala Final a fantasy. Mass Effect doesn't have the feel of a sailing or piratical story, and adding a traditional naval feel does not mesh well.

Having gets as simple undead also betrays the spirit of what the geth are. Having them as clockwork automata or golems would have worked better. While Soveriegn manifesting as a Dragon is well within the classic fantasy element, it limits the menace the Reapers have. The scary thing about the Reapers isn't that they are untouchable juggernauts, it's that they corrupt everything and everyone they touch. They are each a combination of the White walkers of Game of Thrones and Sauron at his best.

Interesting. It's something completly new here. There's only one problem for me: I've always imagined fantasy version of Geth as a some kind of Golem's not undead...

A high fantasy setting for the events of Mass Effect, with armies of the shambling dead and evil black dragons... Definitely has promise and I hope you can find time for it as I'm very curious to see how this idea pans out.

I enjoyed this unique take on the mass effect universe. I'm curious to see what happened to the krogan in this universe. Anyways, id love it if you decided to continue this story but if not I'll enjoy it as a one-shot. Anyways, keep up the great work!

I like. Definitely something different, but a compelling opening chapter. I definitely wouldn't be upset if you decided to continue this story, although with everything else you've got on your plate, I'd understand if you didnt. Looking forward to your next update, whatever story it may be.
