What a nice short story...love it :) I love the ending and it captures Luke well, especially both 'kid' and 'farmboy'

This was well-written, well-thought of, deep, intense, funny, beautiful and altogether amazing.

I really like the way you set up the story, listing Luke's nicknames and titles and then pondering on his thoughts on them. The setup was well-done, too, going (somewhat) from the most distant one to the one nickname only one person in the entire galaxy uses for him.

There were a lot of small, beautiful details I really liked a lot, for example how Luke is eager to hear Jacen, Jaina and Anakin call him "uncle" and how he gives his advice freely and happily. The way he feels wistful when someone calls him Luke, and how his given name has, over the years, become something people have to earn to be allowed to use it. I liked the duality of his title "Master Skywalker", because you mention the kids who are innocent and free and too young to see how a title might as well be a cage, and because they don't see it that way Luke doesn't feel it that way when they call him. I liked the fact that you also dwelled on how annoying it can be to be called "little brother" and that he loves Leia, regardless, and how important the nickname Han gave him is to him even now.

But, most of all, I loved the part with Mara, the part which isn't as much focused on how he feels towards her nickname for him but how he feels towards her. Their little dialogue was enough to make anyone see how much they belong together, how Mara knows exactly what Luke feels and thinks. The little coffee-hot chocolate discussion was sweet, and I'm sure they'll have a packed day, just as Mara predicted. Either way, together, they'll get through it.
