I really enjoy being in Rangers head when you write him. You capture his feelings while still making him very Rangerish. (Not that I think Ranger has no feelings, we just don't get to hear them very often).

This was such a wonderful piece. You showed the moral character of each of the people we all love to read about. Morelli has no character, and his "love" is selfish and domineering. He always seems to show his lack of support when Stephanie needs it the most, and the doesn't give anything of himself to her or their "relationship."

Whereas although Ranger benefits by laying eyes on her, or sitting quietly, watching her sleeping safely, he shows up to support her and ensure her safety and care. I was as angry as Steph was angry and hurt that Morelli first of all LIED about working, and instead was helping a friend, when he missed her birthday plans; but constantly having to "raincheck" plans with her UNLESS it's sex, which benefits HIM, really p*ssed me off. How selfish can one person be?

I loved Tank's comments to Ranger, especially that she was good for Ranger AND Rangeman. Steph's comments really touched me. It's not easy to buck tradition and do what makes you happy, especially having grown up in such a guilt-ridden, emotionally manipulative manner. I loved that she admitted to Ranger that she just wanted to sit on the couch with him and watch mind-numbing TV (or maybe make-out on the couch with him.) HUGE step for her, and her explaining how he "got her" because they both wanted to live life on their own terms, not what was 'expected' was such an epiphany and definitely mature; not just finally realizing that, but being able to say it out loud to Ranger.

And the last paragraph was perfect. I loved the last line.

I just adore these little peaks into what Ranger is thinking at any given time. Love Tank too. He says less than Ranger, but they're both eloquent in their few words. patsy

I was so excited to read this when I got home yesterday and then I fell asleep before I could. Thankfully there was a tomorrow so I could read it today but now there is a blackout in my neighborhood and we have no power so I am reviewing on my phone so please excuse what I'm sure will be multiple typos.

This is the Ranger I love you to write. He gets to be the badass we all know he is but then he also gets to be kind and loving and generous to the woman worrying about him while he's out doing what he does. And I love that him loving Stephanie has tamed a little of the beast in him. He still kicks ass but now he's more prone to not end a life if not needed to when before he wouldn't have thought twice. Another amazing offering from you that leaves me in a good place to start my day. Now if the power would just come back on so I could have a hot shower, that'd be nice too. :)
