emi-emii chapter 11 . 3/3/2017
Hi, nice to see you again. Here comes the last part of this extremely long review:

When the Golden Trio enters the infirmary I almost started banging my head against the table. Ginny was the one who told them? Ginny? Really? How much did she tell them? How much did Charlie tell Ginny so she would join the battle? How much does Ginny know? She doesn't know that Draco is a seer, does she?

And. why. Didn't. The. Golden. Trio. Speak. With. Charlie?

Granger is supposed to be the smart one, why couldn't she follow the indication that Draco gave them? It was so clear.
She manages to bring out my inner Snape when she stucks her nose in to things that doesn't concern her... so intelligent and she can't she it's not the most appropiate time to ask what's going on when there is a teenage boy gasping out because of the pain?
And the Ron comes and saves the day again while completely being in character. It was such a great job.

And what explanation does Dumbledore give to the trio? How much can he explain, how much does he know? There are so many questions...

This is why the last part of this chapter feels like a summarize to me. I would have liked to see it expanded instead of having everything mentioned, like Fleur and Victor's farewells (I hope we will see them again) or the Order's reaction when they find out Draco has escaped and eluded the meeting. That would have been priceless.

And finally, Tracey is mentioned. Yay! I'm so glad she is a part of Sight Can Be Deadly.
And at the end we see Draco's voice has change it's color. What did silver mean? I'm going to need a memorandum with all the colours and explanations :D

It's a nice touch to recover one of Draco's most notorius abilities, to be able to see the colours of the voices. I've missed it. It's such a basic part of him... it made him seem a little odd for staring at people's mouths after all and that was something typical of him. It would have been nice to see this "power" more frecuently, for example with Potter. Surely his voice colour would have changed in his evolution from an agressive to a calm boy? Only his mother knew about this power. I wonder what would Charlie say if he found out.

- Chapter 13: I loved your author's note. I hope Sight Can Be Deadly will become a serie. And I cheered when I saw the pairing. I'm looking forwards the sequel.

Regarding this chapter I could only think two things:

· why couldn't Pansy or any other friend tell Tracey about Umbridge so she could pass that message?
· Tracey is awesome. When she finds out that Draco hasn't gone to work and leaves that message... she is showing some temperament! Yay! I'm declaring myself a fan of her. It would have been so lovely to see her helping a guy who has ostracised her. Showing him around the muggle world could have been some kind of revenge for her now that I think about it. Either she was amused to not end at (I suppose) Draco's weirdeness around the muggle world or exasperated. Either way, it would have been lovely to see it.

So, I think that's it. Thank you for writing this story and I hope we will be able to see it's sequel soon.
Hope you have a nice day and you enjoy this three-part review,
emi
emi-emii chapter 12 . 3/3/2017
Hi, it's me again, emi (I think that using my account will prove more confortable to write these reviews).

I've seen that the last part of my review was erased (I'm so mad... it took me more than an hour to write it) so here I am to complete it again. I'm going to split this in two reviews just in case.

As I was saying:
So I feel I must say this again: marvelous work with the Weasley family, especially the youngest two.
The moment when Draco tells Charlie to change his clothes I started laughing. By the way, it would have be nice to see Charlie's feelings about the fact that Draco took that spell for him and how much his life has changed (all the secrets, the meeting with a secret "order") and will continue to change. Or Bill's reaction as well, given he was the most distrusting.

After that, when we see that Greg has brought Draco to the infirmary I can only think about two things: first, that it's so nice to see a Greg who is not an idiot; and secondly where is Vincent? We know he choose the dark path, but still is quite weird to not see him at all. He shares the dorm with the rest of the guys, so even is he were ostracised (except maybe by Theo, our resident triple agent whose talk with Dumbledore and it's result we never managed to know) he would still be there. He is never mentioned. He never does anything, even though in a dorm, when everyone is sleep he could make an attemp. It makes me wonder if next year this rift will be more notorious. Or seeing that he (Vincent) hasn't done anything... could there be a rule in the Slytherin house about not attacking each other while they are in Hogwarts? Like "we are slytherins first over what we may support" or something like that?

Oh, Pomfrey... I find slightly irritanting the way she urges Draco to tell Dumbledore about the whip scars. The fact that she believes him to be a suitable person to confide in when it comes to children's safety is molesting for the reasons I've mentioned before.

Nevertheless, it is quite a surprise when Draco is honest about the abuse. I'm not used to read that.

Now comes the part where we learn that Narcissa has contacted Snape to warn him about the disconnection. I don't know how to feel about her. If she wanted she could stop Lucius, she is a Black after all but she does nothing with the mistreatment and now she only gives a warning...

And I'm so mad at Snape. How could he refuse to adopt Draco when he offered to do it in I don't know which previous chapter? Couldn't he have remembered that promise when they discussed it in that meeting? I'm so dissapointed at him. You don't do that to your godson.

Nevertheless I'm glad it was Sirius who did the adoption; it was my hope when I was reading this whole story. However, the mention of Augusta Longbottom was lovely since it would have been so unexpected if Draco became Neville's fosterbrother... Neville is such a underestimated character that I would love to see him from time to time.

And now comes one of my most crucial question: where do Sirius's loyalties lay? He is in the Order... is he as loyal to Dumbledore as Bellatrix is to Voldemort? Or can he relate to Draco's point of view about the dark and wild magic since they were raised quite similarly? This is a most important matter, given the influence he has over his godson and the power he has over Draco as the head of the family who can disconnect him again.

That's why I was so dissapointed that their meeting was off screen so to speak. It's just mentioned which I believe it to be a shame. I would have loved to see how they interact, even if it is just to explain the Black magic. I think it would have greatly enriched this story. Was Potter with them since he doesn't separate from his godfather or were the two cousins alone? Did Draco tell his cousin everything he did or was he reserved? So many questions...

So if you ever feel like writing a flashback, please, don't hold back. I would love to see some interaction between these cousins, their chemistry. And if Nymphadora could sometimes be there as well... that would be heavenly.

I'm rambling again, so I'm going to end this here and comment the rest in another review.
emi-emii chapter 13 . 3/2/2017
Hi!
Wow, it's been a while since I last checked on this story. I even made an account to comment more comfortably. I'm so glad to see so many chapters!

I warn you that this is a very, very long review. I tend to make them long but now with so many chapters... And now I'm rereading it and I've realized that I've mixed the present and past tenses, but this is so long that I'm going to just leave it like this and apologize for the grammatical errors you'll find. Here we go:

For a moment I was tempted to leave a review on each chapter that I've missed but I was so entusiastic I couldn't help myself and read it in a go (although afterwards, after I read your autor's note about the hundred reviews I kind of regretted it). I've already read it thrice: the first one in a rush and the next two more calmly and so I could fully appreciate it.
For example, until I read it for the third time I didn't notice Bill's distant behaviour. I was so surprised. Considering what he said as a way of greeting - "I don't trust you, Malfoy" - I was the first one surprised he didn't go to tell Dumbledore everything. Or maybe he did and that is why Dumbledore was able to explain everything to the golden trio afterwards? I warn you, I've got so many questions. I just like to make them so I don't expect an answer to everyone. :D

Another thing that caught my attention in my first fast reading was the golden trio itself. Something was off. I remembered Harry going nuts and now he is calmly speaking to Draco? A little odd in my opinion (or rushed maybe? Sometimes it's find to find the appropiate word, and moreso when the language isn't your first). Then, after reading everything again I was more accepting of it. They are still them, imposing themselves in in the infirmary like they have done in their previous encounters.
That's why, when Sirius and Harry decide to stay in Hogwarts at the end, I was expecting a conversation or something that could offer an explanation of how Harry managed to control himself or whatever.

And let me tell you, you made a fantastic work with Ron. I absolutely adored how you wrote him. So in character, absolutely believable. Granger was also spot on (and so annoying, she manages to irritate me so much that I start looking for Snape in hope he will bite her head off), but Ron, Ron excelled here. It was so nice to see the evolution. His change is one the smoothest and best well done that I've seen.

But let's go in order, please.
- Chapter 9: I was stunned at Narcissa's behaviour. Her son is going to get whipped and she does nothing? She is a Black, she can and knows how to stop Lucius if she so pleases.
On the other hand, I like reading about the Slytherins. And Krum seems a nice friend to have.

Then comes the meeting: you write Granger as in the book. A know it all. I was very amused at Draco's sarcastic answer to her. And the way he twists his words? Such a silvertongue. The rant was nice too but I prefer the one he gave to Charlie. Nevertheless I kind of missed the color of their voices. With such determinated characters it would be interesting to see them (and Harry's at the end, when he seems to be a little bit more calm maybe?).

I can't forget to comment on Blaise too. At the beggining of the story I was suspicious of him but now I'm glad he seems a true friend without's Theo's occasional idolatration. He is so honest and makes Draco realize what a shitty friend he is, if you pardon my choice of words.

And finally, the meeting with Diggory. Since the banter between Draco and Theo on their way up to meet him (I think I've said it before, but it's nice to see some humour) it is my favourite part of the chapter. I hope Cedric will appear in the future. He is someone so different to what Draco is used to, someone nice that I believe Draco will take on his offer to be avaiable if there is anything he wants to talk about. Maybe not now, but in the future I can totally imagine it.

- Chapter 10: I liked the shooping scene with Clara. I like her.
Oh, so Draco is french? I'm not surprised, I've read it a couple of times. And Charlie's reaction was hilarious: from flabbergasted to slightly excited maybe? Oh my God, is it already beggining? The romance? I'm looking forward it. (And let me tell you I kind of cheered when you said the main pairing. I'm excited to see how you write it).
It's nice to reread the chapter. Something that catches my attention is that even here Draco says that one of the reasons he does this is that he is wealthy he still is going to find a summer job. I really liked the lunch scene.

After this, when Draco meets the Golden trio, I couldn't help to think that it's nice to know that Hermione FINALLY gets what's going on (or how to find out). Now that I think about it, the final infirmay scene makes more sense. Although I'm surprised that Granger, given her tenacity, didn't join the battle. Or that they need more information from Dumbledore afterwards... Who knows.
Nevertheless, I have to comment a detail that bothered me a lot:
"Harry Potter put a hand on Hermione's arm, halting the response she was about to spew out. He spoke softly and coaxingly". Softly and coaxingly? Let's hope that Sirius's influence will prove beneficial, because right now he sounds like Dumbledore, whom even if I don't hate him, as one of your readers said (yes, I even tend to read the reviews) I consider him every much responsible for many deaths, so is refreshing to see your point of view. You don't paint him as a evil villain but you don't hide that he is such a manipulatitor. I like you because of that.
And on a reviewer's note: I fully believe that any man who has the "courage" to send a letter (and after that I don't know how many) to a cupboard under the stairs should not be allowed to work to anything related to children (which is why I always had a conflict with McGonagall, since I believe she is the one who sent the letter in first place).

The fact that Victor's parents accepted the bond is reasuring. And when they talk about disownement... how come Severus offered to adopt Draco in secret but later he refuses? I'm so dissapointed at him, but glad that it was Sirius Black who did the adoption. I was hoping for that. I wish to see some interaction between Sirius and Draco, and if Nymphadora could appear sometimes as well... that would be heavenly.

Oh, and let's not forget Tracey Davis! She finally appears. It's a shame that she is only mentioned in this story. I find her a very interesting character given her backgrounds. It would have been interesting to see her teaching Draco something about the muggle world, especially if we consider that she is helping people who have ostracized her for many years. I really hope we will see her again. And maybe Astoria Greengrass. There are two sisters after all, no? These two are so often overlooked...

- Chapter 11: nice touch with the portraits. I liked the meeting. I was surprised at two things: first, that the seer portrait looks like a Weasley; and in second place that Ginny helped Malfoy to the Chamber of Secrets, but one of the nicest thing about this fic is that it never ceases to surprise me.
It was nice to see Draco taking care of Theo. He isn't for once a poor friend.
Oh-ohh, Charlie is starting to get jealous? His awkwardness amuses me.
Finally! The business begins!

- Chapter 12: just reading your author's note I can only say thank God there is going to be a sequel. I hope that "Sight Can Be Deadly" is the first story of a serie. Unfortunately I'm the least talented person when it comes to drawing so...

For a moment I thought that we were going to see the first part of the chapter from Pansy's point of view since she is the "recorder" or so to speak. There have been a few times where you have used it and I find it refreshing. I don't know why but I'm imagining this whole group looking together at the pictures Pansy took in the battle and (mostly Fred and George) making teasing comments.

I was also shocked that the group is so reduced. It's practicaly the Weasley family plus Draco and Luna. There was a moment when I thought that maybe Granger and Ron would join the battle given the reasons I said before. I would really like to see, even in a flashback the conversation they (the golden trio) had with Charlie; I mean the one that Draco incited them to have if they wanted to know what was going on (I'm referring to the tenth chapter). Maybe they didn't have that conversation before the battle but afterwards? That would make more sense? It's a little confusing for me.

I absolutely adored the detail of Luna handing to Draco a sandwich. That moment struck out to me.
Glad that Victor and Fleur joined the battle. I like the way you write Fleur, a most capable woman of defending herself.

Overall I would say that the action was quite well writen. It wasn't too fast, neither too slow. It was nice to me.

Afterwards, in the next scene I was still surprised at Ginny's civility. I believe that at the begining of this story Charlie made a comment about the unreiability of her because she was too enamoured with Harry, so it draws my attention that we see her now. That change is also very smooth over all the chapters, Draco starts convincing her to help him in order to "save" Harry but now she is there because she wants to (I find it hard to believe that a girl who has six brothers and was possesed by Voldemort would take easily being ordered around), more or less. And for me the prove of her willingness is that she is being civil although not friendly (she almost reminded me of Draco at the beginning when I first read it) AND she warns him that Granger is putting things together.

- I really am starting to believe that the Golden Trio did not have that infamous talk with Charlie, at least until the battle. Call me slow but it's become almost my cross to bear -

So I feel I must say this again: marvelous work with the Weasley family, specialy the young
