Great job on this little oneshot.
The structure, feel, and your overall knowledge of the characters seems highly tuned, and while nothing 'physical' went on between H/Hr. I am most entertained.

Oh Boy! I absolutely love it!

I've been looking for a Harry/Hermione Veritaserum story for over three years now, and I've never really looked close enough to find it.
All of the other stories I've read have Harry either being drugged by Malfoy, or having them play silly games like Spin the Bottle and stuff.
Those, do not seem natural.
This! Seems natural.
The sheer motives you have behind Harry sneaking into Slughorns cupboard is sincere and genuine. Harry 'Would' be scared of feeling weak in front of Dumbledore, he 'Would' want a Dreamless Sleep potion to help him try and get some much needed rest, especially after the chaos that was happening in that horrible book Half-Blood Prince.
Also, I feel your reasoning behind Harry's confession was also accurate to the Harry Potter we all know in the books, up until it all goes mad.
I genuinely felt Harry was trying to impress Hermione with his potions craft in Half-Blood Prince, upon until she rebukes him. That, is the the character of Hermione we have known throughout these books. Hermione would 'want' to be better at what she does, she also 'trusts' Harry. So Hermione would never have snapped at him and insisted that what she was doing was gospel. Yes, she would have thought about it 'Why does Harry's potion seem to be brewing faster than mine, since I am following the book to the letter?' but she is also a learned girl, she would 'try' to understand. Not attack back and insist that her way is the only way to be.
I honestly feel something happened to either J.K. Rowling during the process of the final book (media pressure, hype, maybe even laziness or a sense of being tired with her product.) or something happened to those characters in Half-Blood Prince J. K. Rowling has hid so well, no-one had been able to stamp it as the moment of change.
But all in all. This is a great little One Shot, and I look forward to reading more from you, as I skim through your archive, looking for more great content.

I think this is the first time I've read this version of Harry spilling his deep dark secrets to Hermione. I rather enjoyed it. It was both cute and endearing to watch it unfold. Nicely done!

I know this was for your QLFC but I so want to see a second chapter done of this where Harry faces the next morning without being under the influence and how one night of being truthful changes things for the better. I so love Harmony fics and you put an interesting spin on them.
