Hahaha I recently had a similar problem so I just said, "Hi, so-and-so" ever time I saw them and eventually they were curious as to who I was. Now, I just need to strike up a real conversation! :)

The only reason to hate this is because it's so true to life. Painfully so. I think you captured pretty well the antsy pseudo-want of talking to THAT person you see all the time, and foster interest in- only to be cut off by your own inaction. And though I LOVE me some NaLu fluff, I have to say I love the way you ended this without showing them actually speaking. The possibilities of how it goes are endless, and open to how each person responds. I think it's the most brilliant part of this. Good job!

Aw dang it I want more, at least put they greetings in there lol, but I totally understand the feeling. It is nerve racking getting the courage up to talk to a beautiful girl, but sometimes you just gotta go for it. No regrets!

This is beautiful :,) It really is hard to walk up to strangers and yeah, it's true that guys are usually thought to make the first move, but sometimes you just have to take a deep breath and move, following your heart. Guys like it when girls make the first move too because that's when they know you're independent and will not be afraid to speak your mind if something's wrong. It also shows you will help them with things if anything shows up.

So why don't you ask your friends to help if needed? Ask them for advice like how and when to approach him :) hopefully this helped!

Hm...I think everyone has experienced this problem at one, or more, point(s) in their lives. It's so hard and slightly (maybe more than slightly :) ) terrifying to imagine striking up a conversation with someone you don't know; even more so when you find that someone attractive. But really...you just have to do it. You will not ever know otherwise. It's exhilarating and terrifying and you feel like you might throw up at the same time you're swallowing down butterflies...but even if that someone doesn't respond positively, it's still worth the experience. It's always worth the experience because somehow you grow from it. Whether you have grown because you moved past your shyness or you have grown because you have met someone new and exciting, you still have grown. I can really relate to your story and to your situation with that boy in your culinary class. I'm sorry you're struggling with talking to him, but I can tell you you're not a loser; everyone experiences this. And I honestly hope you do talk to him and that he's nice. :) It's like your story...you just have to reach out and do it.
