coffeecure chapter 3 . 8/10 Hello - I came back to re-read this wonderful fic out of nostalgia. Your writing style makes any story you write so pleasing and engaging to read. This fic is obviously going through a revision, but I love the new direction you are taking. I can’t wait to read more someday, xx. |
iammai1097 chapter 14 . 6/26 Ahhh! Such a cliffhanger huhuhuu please continue writing I want to know how Sasuke's and Naruto's plan(s) would work out, and how NaruSaku is gonna be in the end, I truly love the convos when Naruto shares his problems with Sakura and Sakura sharing her insights like a queen, (given Naruto doesn't always blindly follow what she says but gives his input as well), I don't intend to diss NaruHina, rather I am rooting and appreciating this masterpiece you ve chosen to write for this ship thank you so much for writing this |
ATimeForEverything567 chapter 2 . 5/31 Were some parts of this chapter deleted? I remember this scene where Naruto had to go through many doctors before settling on Ayame. |
Ferm chapter 14 . 12/16/2019 O think it was a great story. I also think it would've been perhaps more suited to a samurai au. That is the only scenario on which the guard system would work. By design the shinobi are loyal to the hokage, not the council or clan leaders. Hyuuga were heads of the adminstrative departments, not shinobi. In this story it seems no one was loyal to the hokage, except sai and Sasuke and that assistant. They were able to control access to him, kill refugees, kill his staff and torture someone meant to help him without any repercussions. Naruto had to fight to get to the jail. Somehow, it seems that the hyuuga managed to control the village shinobi despite their being not enough deviancy from canon that would justify this absolute control. Hanzei was able to get a big section of the village to naruto's house without him somehow being alerted. This would've been okay, I think, if Naruto wasn't so severely nerfed. He is not short on political capital. He is the guy who bought most of konoha population back to life, he is the hero that won the war, he is friends with all of the clan heads and heirs, he's friends with and/or respected by other kages, and he's respected by the ninja population of konoha. All the hidden villages are autocracies. It's true that in this au hyuuga were able to wrest a lot of control by buying up properties, making the residence and having their heiress marry the hokage, but the level of control they have is disproportional. It could work in a more feudal system, but konoha is autocratic. The hokage is the final decision maker. Not because he's the richest or even because he's the most powerful. Because of the village's hierarchy which makes him the most influential. Even Danzo, with his personal root army knew his limits. Most of the story honest on the assumption that Naruto doesn't like violence, doesn't have senjutsu or a good relationship with kurama, and doesn't interact with his friends at all. But that shouldn't limit him so severely in his own village. He's still the most powerful man in the world, in a society that values and respects power, and is known as the hero. How did he lose control of his own shinobi so thoroughly? Why don't any of his friends help him? Why is hinata not exercising her powers as the hyuuga heiress even after she saw hanzei commit treason? Why does sai not have any power as Naruto head guard? There are many discrepancies that allow the angst in this fic to go on. It could still have been a tense situation without making it look hopeless. I think the story degrades in quality after naruto's apparent death. It's a great premise. You have a great writing style and everything flows really well. I really liked the image you painted of this konoha. I wish it had focused a bit more on Naruto/sakura's relationship without angering about it. The last chapter, for example, would have been better if they weren't getting hung up about the no. Aid people someone had slept with. I wish kakashi had made an appearance too. It seems everyone left Naruto to do the hokage thing alone lol. I liked the dream seuences and minato and kushina's reappearance. Thanks for sharing the story with us :D |
Ferm chapter 13 . 12/16/2019 The angst, the angst! XD |
Ferm chapter 11 . 12/16/2019 It's beautifully written. Hate the angst. The villain is given unnecessary power tbh. He basically declared his traitorous actions directly to the hokage and is doing a coup by killing hokage's friends. I would be incredibly frustrated if Naruto doesn't bring him to trial for this. He has heads of all the powerful clans with him. The populace respects him. The argument of public resentment doesn't hold much water |
Ferm chapter 10 . 12/16/2019 Lmao what Homage doesn't have his personal guards? What is sai even doing? People can just kill hokage's entourage without any ramifications and then order his guards around? I like the setting, but this makes no sense. Even if Naruto doesn't want to be a forceful hokage, this is just making him a pushover for angst |
Ferm chapter 9 . 12/16/2019 Lmao. I guess such political machinitions could work if a) Naruto and Sasuke weren't literal god's and b) Naruto didn't have personal connections and respect of almost all the other leaders. I really love the story! |
Ferm chapter 6 . 12/16/2019 So much of the problems would be solved if shika was naruto's advisor xD |
Ferm chapter 5 . 12/16/2019 Oooooh boy. I wonder why Naruto doesn't trust kyuubi, but if kyuubi was insistent upon her survival then there would be a falling out. It's also kinda frustrating that it would take just one application of sage mode for everything to unravel xD |
Ferm chapter 1 . 12/16/2019 Very well written, interesting premise, and the situation is very plausible. Thanks for writing this |
coffeecure chapter 12 . 4/30/2019 By far the most intense, heartbreaking chapter. The array anguish that Naruto feels is wonderfully put, added to the cumulation of heartaches he had to endure in the past. I honestly feel badly for them all. |
coffeecure chapter 1 . 4/30/2019 I am obsessed with this fic. Like its so well written and heartbreaking and angsty. One of those stories that makes me forget about canon in all right ways. I also love the various conflicts happening around the village, because it makes sense. The Hyuuga’s power problem, the affects of the war and to all its citizens, Naruto and Sakura’s relationship. Very well done, I really hope you come back and update this one day. I will look forward to it without a doubt. |
ayeshaazam1998 chapter 14 . 3/8/2019 Loved every moment in this fanfic! |
Guest chapter 6 . 2/13/2019 I know it is fanfiction but there is no way that old ass Hyuga lived through 4 Ninja Wars and is still well enough to walk on his own lol. And why did they just let the Hyuga take over? |
