kimjo2 chapter 1 . 8/10 Great "what if!". Thanks so much |
Hank1967 chapter 1 . 8/8 Very interesting twist on the canon. I rather like it. I like how you kept Snape and Lily together, although canon Snape might not have been suitable for this role, but then again, that is the joy of AU. You can do what you want. Has a little bit of the feeling of The Man in the High Castle to it. |
Love2read23 chapter 1 . 4/22 This is brilliant! Well done! I love Lily and Severus' life and how happy they and there children are. I love that Dumbles was exposed. I'm sad that Voldie didn't actually have legit plans to help the wizarding world and that pureblood supremacy was his end point but oh well their lost. It's sad Hermione was a pyscho stalker because I mostly like but I like Harry and Luna (and that they both have younger siblings this time). Thank you for writing! |
Shiningmoments chapter 1 . 4/4 Love it! Very satisfying, thanks for your effort in writing and posting it, and kudos for creativity wit |
Right What Is Wrong chapter 1 . 1/5 You really don't like James and Sirius, do you? :P Well, it makes sense that an unpopular Lily would be treated much worse than a pretty one. Sad to say, people are shallow... especially spoiled young brats. "Petunia's fiancé hadn't known she had a sister until their engagement and was told she was at "a special school – one of those special schools for people with her…disabilities."" Yeouch. Petunia is a catty bitch, but that's completely canon. Come to think of it, I'm surprised she didn't try to make Harry out to be mentally disabled in canon. Claiming he was a criminal would raise questions about HER skills at raising a child, after all, whereas 'my sister took drugs when she was pregnant' is something poor saintly Petunia could do nothing about. It would explain why Harry looked malnourished compared to Dudley ('I'm afraid he just won't eat sometimes, no matter how hard I try, and the doctor said he doesn't properly absorb nutrients anyway'), cover up some of the abuse ('he misinterprets things and makes up others - he doesn't quite understand the difference between fantasy and reality - and we do sometimes have to discipline him to keep him from hurting himself'), and explain away the poor grades that no doubt resulted from intermittent starvation, maltreatment, and having all his homework-time eaten up by household chores. Maybe she did and Harry blocked it out? "it was scrupulously fair." Oof. It's truly vicious for Voldemort to treat Dumbledore fairly because his misdeeds WERE enough to get him the Kiss. I suppose this Tom was sane enough to realize that Dumbledore did indeed love one thing more than his life... his reputation. Treating him justly and convicting him anyway did more to destroy Dumbledore than all the tortures in the world. (Though I wish he'd left Dumbledore alive and rubbed in the reality of his disgrace for the rest of a very long... Wait, what am I doing rooting for Voldemort?) A very sweet ending. (Did Luna have a sister because her parents fled England? Fanfiction *has* driven me to wonder whether her mother's death was really an accident.) Voldemort's revenge amuses me. I think vengeful!Riddle seems more realistic than the nominal canon!Riddle, in some ways. Psychopaths are known for biting the hand that feeds them, but not for kissing the hand that hits them. That's more a self-destructive and/or submissive trait. (As such, sadly plausible for canon!Severus, regarding both his masters.) I think many people (including me) have pointed out that the war seemed to do more to massacre Pureblood lines than preserve them, so giving Riddle a 'purge the Purebloods' motive fits rather well with his actual achievements... |
Mari Wollsch chapter 1 . 3/24/2019 great xxxxxxxxxxxxxx |

Djanga chapter 1 . 1/5/2019 I really enjoyed this piece! |
Linneagb chapter 1 . 9/12/2018 One thing that fascinates me about fanfiction is that while we write our own stories with other stories. We can change and add as much as we want. This was quite an interesting take of how things could have looked. Awwwwww, poor Lily. Everyone are so mean to her. It's just not fair. It was an interesting take of what could have happened and how Lily and Sev ended up living without magic and then Voldemort's side winning... I kind of liked this story actually. It was interesting and well- written. Thanks for writing and sharing. |
Strandshaper chapter 1 . 6/17/2018 A good concept, but could probably have been better as a series of short scenes rather than straight narration. Show don't tell, after all. |
Cassandra30 chapter 1 . 12/21/2017 Totally different but excellent AU. |
