Will you be continuing this story?

Honestly this is a fantastic start to a story. I can totally see how this could be epic in nature. Such fantastic action scenes that remind me of some of the best on this website. Action is definitely your strongsuit. I wonder what happened to Luna and Neville that day in the Department of Mysteries. I do think it would make a more interesting story if not all of them were killed down there. Also what happened to Remus Lupin? No mentions there either. Same with Pettigrew to be honest. I look forward to seeing how you develop this story further.

Very interesting story so far. Your characterization of fudge in particular seems somewhat different from the norm in a good way. There were a few spelling errors here and there but overall I can't wait to see more.

I like the beginning chapter

I just stumbled upon this story and I enjoy it so far! Your writing flows well. The characterization is pretty good, but I look forward to Harry interacting with other people.
I like the nihilistic attitude that Harry has, but I'd have to agree with the other reviewer that warned you against making that the focus of the story. It features heavily, and I understand why (and enjoy it), but I don't think you should focus too heavily on it for too long.

Also, this may be a bit nitpicky but as I was reading I felt like you used the word "acrid" quite a bit, so you may want to watch out for that in the future.

Other than that, I like it. I'd give it like a 3/5. The writing is solid, and I like that your characters struggle with morality, but sometimes the focus on that struggle and that nihilistic/damned attitude that most seem to have feels heavy-handed. Your story is enjoyable, but to me it just doesn't have that spark that really captivates me.

Gritty and atmospheric but I'm not really sure where you'll plan to go with this. Just nihilism doesn't carry a long story.

Very well written first chapter! I hope you continue quickly! Harry's personality here is very intense and I sort of like his abrasive, reckless, and utterly powerful approach to things. Keep going!
