Well done. *hand clap emoji* I am pretty firmly on the side of They Never Slept Together (sadly), but I enjoy fics like this anyway. For obvious reasons. This was very believable, and the dialogue, most importantly, fit them. I wish they had gone more like this.

Well damn. That was so well done. As others have said, you really nailed their personalities. I think Root is pretty consistent but Shaw is much harder to pinpoint - she often had little moments that betrayed her sociopath diagnosis, and I don't think I've seen anyone capture that side of her the way you did here.

So I know this story is a bit older but I just had to tell you how awesome it is. Not only did you capture their personalities masterfully I also totally love your writing style. For example this last sentence "... because as they are, pressed so intimately together, she knows that Shaw is sage, and somewhere along the way that had become the only thing that seemed to matter to her." Just awesome.

That was a really great story I loved it. You should definitely write more of these.
