Just finished reading your story. It was well done, from reading about the d'Artagnan family home's demise to Pierre's banishment, and I particularly enjoyed the dialog. Lucian's end was spot on, and I'm glad d'Artagnan got his justice at his own hand while protecting his brothers.
Could have done without knowing about one particular part of d'Artagnan's captivity as a boy.
d'Artagnan's rage at Pierre's hateful words about Porthos was good to read. Ya don't mess with the brotherhood.

I literally gasped when I read Pierre's awful words to Porthos. I'm glad d'Artagnan has a good aim, even with footwear.

I was on a very long trip so I never had the chance to review the last few chapters until now. Excellent! I really enjoyed how you ended this story and all the angst with Pierre. What a great idea. So many writers get past the initial whump of the story and than have no idea where to go. You created a new problem that was interesting and fun to read! I say YES YES YES to a sequel! Also I loved how you showed a lot of the other Musketeers really caring about d'Artagnan.

That's what I thought Pierre did, use poison. I so loved reading the part about Constance. I knew before reading it that Aramis was in for a hard slap. LOL!
