hengrimm chapter 9 . 8/31/2017 What a wonderful story! And Cas saves the day ,,, again. I don't know what else to say, just phenomenal work: characterization, pacing, dialogue, fight scenes, description, feels-you nailed it. Beautifully done. Thank you so much for sharing your work! |
hengrimm chapter 8 . 8/31/2017 Freaking awesome! The fight scenes are so well crafted, so easy to visualize. I love how you capture what Cas is feeling, where his thoughts run. Conflict and suspense, love it! |
hengrimm chapter 7 . 8/31/2017 I love it! The action is readable and easy to picture in my mind ... characterization, as usual, spot on. I think I have to apologize for my last review: I commented on Dean not noticing the 'they', but I think it's my bad; I assumed at the time it meant Sam and Castiel but now I realize it probably meant Sam and Lucifer (that's what I get for having the angel be my favorite character, every thing goes back to him!) so of course Dean wouldn't make anything of it, so sorry! |
hengrimm chapter 6 . 8/31/2017 I love this story! Okay, first off, I admit it; you actually made me like Sam and have sympathy for him. Bravo. (Too bad the show's writers haven't quite gotten me to that point yet ... oh yeah, probably something to do with Sam being a dickhead to Castiel every few seasons, usually lasting an entire season. But I digress...) And I like how you have Sam thinking and reasoning through what Cas did and why he may have done it; and showing alarm at what Lucifer implied what Cas was now thinking. All making him stop dwelling on himself and thinking of someone else. Well done. And Crowley rescuing Dean ... going on a road trip with the King of the Crossroads ... ah poor Dean should've brought a case of booze with him! Crowley, by the way, is also, unsurprisingly, in character and properly motivated. I realize Dean is in shock but it's too bad he didn't notice Crowley said he knew where they were; he's still just thinking of his brother. This has been such a great story and I look forward to finishing it and seeing what else you have in store for these guys. Because, yeah, I've learned by now to trust you! |
hengrimm chapter 5 . 8/31/2017 This is fantastic! The mood you've created and how deft you are at characterization is awesome. Poor Cas ... the thoughts and feelings he has and how Lucifer manipulates him, forcefully nudging him in the direction he wants; so sad. Castiel, as well as Sam, are finding out just how sweet, how poisonous are the devil's words. |
hengrimm chapter 4 . 8/31/2017 Another superb chapter in a great story! You handle characterization so well-I think you nailed Dean's voice; his thoughts and actions were definitely things he would've done. And I love your imagery, there were a couple great ones at the beginning of this chapter. Again, well done! You're definitely a skilled and gifted storyteller. |
hengrimm chapter 3 . 8/31/2017 The dilemma deepens realistically, and once again you capture Sam and Lucifer's voices so well. I'm actually kind of liking Sam in this, so kudos for your handling of his character to bring that about! Well written piece! |
hengrimm chapter 2 . 8/31/2017 Loved this! You write Castiel's voice so very well, showing him defiant even when he has no chance, no hope, nothing left; loved it. And Lucifer, so very diabolical. His torture of Cas, and then soothing it away, offering a lifeline to his little brother, thoroughly sadistically, creepily "comforting" (and I really hesitate to use that word!). And, Cas, ever in character, protects the Winchesters and Bobby in his mind, leaving himself wide open to Lucifer's insidiousness. A perfect degree of description that allows me to see what's going on (it occurs to me that might be more critique than review so I'll try to refrain from mentioning that again, but I've read too many stories recently that seem to take place in a void, nothing to anchor the reader in the fictional dream the writer is trying to weave so it's an utter relief to read one again where description isn't considered evil, which is why I keep focusing on it; sorry!). Definite suspense with what Lucifer found in Cas's mind and even what Meg might do to retaliate. Can't wait for more! |
hengrimm chapter 1 . 8/31/2017 I like this AU, exploring the implications from the series of Lucifer finding Castiel peculiar, and capturing his true vessel. Good amount of description so I can visualize what's going on, and you've captured Lucifer's and Sam's voice perfectly. I confess I'm not a fan of Sam on the show, and how he views Cas, but I'm intrigued with what you are seemingly doing here, building a relationship, a friendship between the two: of course, what Lucifer finds obvious, Sam does not, which isn't exactly in Sam's favor so far. I can't wait to see what you do next! |

Shandrial chapter 9 . 2/25/2017 Love the feels at the end! And wow, Cas taking on Lucifer was so badass! Was not expecting him to banish Lucifer lol, that was pretty awesome. Crowley's unexpected help but so Crowley move was awesome too. This whole fic was awesome! |
theRedzak chapter 6 . 2/24/2017 I'm sure he makes it in time. |
theRedzak chapter 3 . 2/23/2017 Really amazing, Sam finally knows Cas's sins. |
