This was sweet. I feel bad for Mabel, but I really empathize more with Dipper, because like him, I'm the "smart one" in my family and it's natural, I think, to feel like you're better than others, especially when your life IS actually better than your siblings' lives because of the careful choices and hard work/studying you do compared to them. And yet THEY have more friends, who are genuinely devoted to them because they're more empathetic than I am. So who is to say who is "better"?

I like how Dipper recognizes this about himself. Hopefully it keeps him from ending up like Ford. Good story!

I absolutely loved this story. It's beautiful and amazing and just...well done!

You got the twins' personalities down so well, this could be a canon short (Disney and Hirsch, please?). Really engaging story, I love the different stuff you had going on. The way it progressed, all the things that happened, all the details, so well done.

When they finally got caught, I could feel that pit in my stomach too, and when Dipper revealed that Eric had a crush on Mabel, I actually went "Woooooah!" You really messed with my emotions there, that's the sign of a true artist.

And finally, the mechanics are flawless. I might have missed a minor typo, but reading this through I found nothing wrong. Spelling, grammar, paragraph structuring - all fantastic.

This should be considered a gold standard for Gravity Falls one-shots. Once again, very very excellent job!

This was an awesome story, I loved reading it. You got their personalities down to a T, and you really captured their sibling relationship. It kinda makes me mad at Dip and Mabel's parents though. They don't even try to help or understand Mabel when she's having difficulties, they just get mad and tell her off. They could help her out with study/study skills, try to understand her whole point of view on it and the real reason she's having a hard time with it, but noooooo. For shame Pines parents, for shame. But anyway, getting back on track, this was extremely well written and it's a definite favourite of mine now. Kudos.

Honestly, I didn't know what the end result was going to be. The ending, while a little bittersweet, contained a still family fluff ending. I also liked how Mabel and Dipper's school life would unfortunately be, but that's a realistic aspect in modern education for kids. The twins personality and relationship seemed just like the canon, a absolutely amazing story!
