This is totally an amazing journey. It is angsty and pretty tearful, but the ending makes everything worth it. Thanks for writing this

This one was a wild ride of emotions - up and down, and sideways, and every direction in between - but it was ultimately a wonderful story. You captured both Emily and Derek's characters so well as individuals, but also as a couple and who they are in relation to each other. It was a wonderful peek into these characters that we've grown to love, and how they would react to such a significant turn of events.

It's not an easy thing to write by any means, but your take on a battle with cancer and all that it brings with it was lovely. From the specific details included, to the attention to all the facets of life that it has an impact on, to the emotional turmoil and consequences it has, you crafted an excellent ride with this one.

Your descriptions of emotions are wonderful. Whether it's using short, punctuated sentence to convey something, or putting emphasis on different words to make sure the specific tone comes across, you have a real talent for putting into words those seemingly difficult-to-describe feelings and emotions. It really gives the story a deeper level in terms of how it resonates with the reader.

I love the over-arching Sun Chariot theme as well. It's fitting, and was an interesting way to describe Emily's journey through it all. It tied everything together nicely.

Elizabeth's role in this one was a nice touch as well. I loved how you described her and Emily's relationship - not making it out to be the overly difficult and dramatic one it's often written as, but also not making it as though they've been chummy for years. Your description of Elizabeth as being good at ceremonies, and how that's a way that she shows her love - spot on. Really, really felt that. It resonated with me.

I read this story as it was updated, but didn't have a chance to review it until now. It's a wonderful and touching story that I was compelled to come back and read again - this time more slowly to let every word and every detail get soaked up. Absolutely enjoyed it the first time through, and loved it the second time through. I've no doubt that when I come back to it some time in the future, I'll love it even more on the third time through, and so on.

I don't know what to except Amazing! This is a brilliant piece of work and I can't wait to read more from you.

I also love the first person angle. For some reason it helps me hear their voices and know their reactions better and that draws me deeper into the story.
