If you decide you want to pick this back up and write more, may I suggest something about Missy getting caught in some act and it all comes out in public about John being completely innocent of all wrong doing. Missy then goes to jail for the rest of her life.
And John, finally gets to forgive himself and finds the strength to ask Clara to marry him.
Or something like that.
Great story, I check up on its progress every month or so.
