I really don't think the Eric or Tris in your story were OOC. The reason I say that is because if a life event like this happened to Tris and Four was no longer in the picture I do see Eric stepping up. At first he would be a silent presence and than slowly worm is way in to her everyday life and heart. I think the one shot you created is totally plausible. I also think that the same way Eric has an effect on Tris Tris has an effect on Eric. If anyone could bring out a softer side it would be her.

I think this was sweet. I liked the premise of the AU. And the slow build, with Eric developing a bond with Toby was a particularly nice touch.

Cool, you know some stories feel incomplete and as a reader you want to ask for more. but this ending suited this story. love reading your eric/tris fics.

Aw, I expected a lot of crying when I read that Tobias died but then it made me so happy to see this slowly developing relationship between Eric and Tris. It was so emotional, great job! :)

This one shot is so dramatic, so sad and happy
