This is a great first chapter to a great story. I’ve read this and some of your other stories already, and I love the idea of tamers. It inspired me to start writing my own story involving the concept, and I recently decided to give this story another read as well. Great work, thanks for writing this brilliant story for us to enjoy!

A beautiful story, thank you. Pokemon had so much potential yet being made for "children" completely ruined it. Defeat needs to have consequences in order for victory to have any introduction of "Tamers" is brilliant as there's just no way for regular humans to survive in such a world without some kind of edge, and you make it make sense. The weakness of your story in my opinion lies in lack of antagonist motivations. You do a beautiful job with the main cast of Ash, Gary, Ivy, and Lily yet Jessie & James, Giovanni, Pryce, Karen, Will, Lorelai and most importantly Lance didn't get enough "Attention" We never really know much about these characters. How did Pryce get Ho-oh? What was his aspirations for Team Rocket? Why did Giovanni follow Pryce? What soured the relationship between Giovanni and his son to the point he'd give him to Pryce to train alongside Lily only to years later claim "everything was for him"? What was the relationship between Pryce and Lance why would they cooperate? Where does Lance's hatred of Tamers come from and the motivations to wipe them out? I dunno I personally tend to pay more attention to antagonists than protagonists cause they usually don't get the same amount of love. Therefore the only constructive criticism I have if you were to ever re-write or polish this story is to flesh out the bad guys a bit more. If you want a good example of a superior protagonist then look no further than Pein from Naruto, now that's a damn good antagonist. How on earth does this story not have more views?

Holy shit, what a fucking read! I have no words that can describe what I think of this story, except that the journey was nothing short of incredible! The thing I still can't wrap my head around is how this story doesn't have over 1k favorites and followers? How in the hell do stories that revolve around the whole "betrayal" trope and other repetitive tropes with shitty plots and God awful dialog have over 1k favorites/followers? Anyway, I'm so fucking glad I gave this story a read! The best thing about this story, in my opinion, is how real the characters and the environment were portrayed to be. Whether it be the realistic conversations between the characters that had no cheesy soap opera moments (eh, maybe one or two), the way you depicted all the Pokémon, or how lively you made the journey, it was all amazing! However, there are some things that still boggle my head... Like, how did Ash become a Medium? Was it during their trip to Lavender? I thought Ash was in the belief that he would never settle down and would go out to continue destroying evil organizations? And what's up with Ash having an easy time bonding with different Pokémon? Was it because he's a medium? Or is it something else that hasn't been revealed yet (damn, I just realized most of my questions revolve around Ash...)? And also, where was Lance's charizard? I would've thought that Ash would somehow get a hold of it after Charizard's death (still mad). I know you're still kind of active since you did tell me that Ash and Lilly would be a thing, so there is still a chance for the sequel to happen. And I'll be here waiting for it drop and be there day one! Again, thank you for writing this incredible story, you're a real one for that :D! Till next time!

Woah, the Master balls getting destroyed really surprised me! I wonder if the same would've happened if it was used against any of the other trios.

Mhmm, so that's why the whole original tamer was never brought up again. Because it was just a legend. Damn, I was hoping it was real and that it would be shown... Oh well, it would make the person OP to high hell!
