This fan fiction legitimately makes me angry. Because there is no way I’ll ever be able to find anything to top this. This was the best thing Iv ever read and after hearing someone say it made them cry I thought the whole time that no way I was going to cry, I bet I already know what happens even. Dude I bawled my eyes out. I’ll be thinking about this for a long time and always have it in the back of my mind as I continue to watch adventure time reruns. Thank you so much for this.

This was interesting, realistic, and extremely well written. I sincerely hope you know this and continue to write!

So, I'm sobbing? Like that's cool? I mean, wow, who needs a heart anyway ya know. I both adore you and curse you for writing this, because it's amazing and heart breaking. "Some things worse than death", okay fuck me up why don't you, but for real thanks for writing this. Just long enough to get plot points in, follows canon (to the best as one can), beautifully composed, it's both simple and sweet.

I'd like to leave a more coherent review, as this absolutely amazing piece of writing deserves, but I just read all three chapters in one go and can't seem to stop crying, so.
First off, you've captured the characters and their voices so damn perfectly I can't even begin to talk about it.
For another thing, the nods to the show's continuity (THE SHIRT OH MY GOD)

Legit cried from this fic. I don't think I've ever had a fic do this, and if it has, it's was quite some time ago. It was so terrifically beautiful and terrible (in a great way) at the same time. The angst was real.

The pre Finn arc is definitely what I think happened between Simon, Marceline and PB emotionally. I recommend reading the AT comics to get more info on pre Candy Kingdom PB and Marcy, but other than really petty things, I honestly theorize this is how they broke off.

For as accurate the first part is, I can only pray that the last part is no where close to what actually happens in the show. Your take was beautiful but so god damn angsty, I'd die if they end up as unhappy husks of themselves. I need a happy canon ending damnit! P

Again, beautiful fic, one of the best ones I've ever read and I'm a pretty picky, longtime fanfic reader (damn like 10 yrs already jeez). Immediately going to see if what other fics you have in your arsenal. Hopefully they wrong leave me in such tears like this one lol. Wonderful stuff man, wonderful stuff!
