From how I see this fiction from chapters 1 to 5, it kinda reminds me of Satoshi Kon's "Perfect Blue" (awesome film by the way), as well as the novel it was based on (based on a summary I found of it).

Great story. I'm really happy I found this through the others from the list of stories for RWBY. Best, most original prompt for a story I've read in a long time, so props for that. I'm a bit sad it ended so quickly, but I guess it can't be helped. I was sorta hoping for Kaito to survive the blast to come back as a "ghost". Anyway...

You did an amazing job on this story. Nothing was too OOC, which is, admittedly, pretty hard to do. You created a character that I could actually root for, and you gave him a personality which I loved. It flowed really smoothly, and the plot holes I found turned out to be covered in later chapters, so good job on those accounts. You had a few grammar mistakes, which isn't surprising; literally every author I've read has at least one in each chapter.

Keep on writing; this story was amazing. 9.8/10, would definitely read it again.

I enjoyed reading this. An original story-line that feels remarkably in line with the show, especially volume 2, in my opinion. A nefarious plot is uncovered, RWBY wants to help, is told not to by authorities, and then shenanigans ending in them being heroes. The changes made for the sake of fanfiction are minor; sure, volume 3 invalidates this story, but otherwise the characterization feels in line with the show. I also don't care about shipping in general, so other readers' complaints on that won't be found from me.

That said, the entire thing felt rather short. I only started reading with this last update, the one that completes the story, so I have a different perspective compared to long term readers, but I feel that there was room to expand on a few of the subplots to flesh the world and the OCs out a bit more. Was the detective a family man? What was his informant working on that he interrupted for this? How will the memories of the trauma affect RWBY and the team dynamic? Information that isn't necessary for a decent story, but having it would make it feel more complete (I think I can compare the lack of details to how Remnant felt/feels before we got/get more WoR details).

In summary, this is a neat story that almost feels like it could be a filler arc if the volumes were longer. More character details and development would help decrease that label of "filler," but I still enjoyed the time I spent reading this.

I loved the story as I said multiply times, it was a good read and I'm glad everything ended well for our four girls. I'm glad Ruby is recovering and I wish you a lot of muse and inspiration for new stories like this one

Well, that was an experience.

Not going to lie, after chapter 10, I stopped reading this because I felt like it for a few months. Now, coming back to it, I have no idea why I left in the first place. Great story, good prompts, excellent execution, and, most of all, a new OC that I can find memorable. Good job with Kaito's character, and great job with killing him off. At least, for now.

Also, you took my story's title and added it here: Wilting Rose. To that, I say, "Great minds think alike." Also, at the end of Violation, you said no one would enjoy it since it was so... what's the word? Creepy and/or horrifyingly disturbing. Yeah, apparently I didn't get the memo, or I'm insane since I thoroughly enjoyed that chapter. 10/10, would definitely recommend this to any RWBY fan out there.

this was really intense! I held my breath when the girls were fumbling with the bomb and later too, I was so worried about Ruby. Poor, poor thing. I think she'd need a lot of therapy sessions after this one...
