I was wondering if we would get to see Regina's wedding for the epilogue or just have it farther down the road, but this was amazing. I love how in love they are and Liam and Emma get on so well! And what a lovely family they are and Liam is absolutely adorable! Thank you so much for this!

I'm glad that Emma explained and Killian wanting to know why he wasn't enough, but it wasn't him. And he wanted to try and see where they could go and I'm glad that Emma took the leap too!

Oh, my heart was just hurting! And then Emma choosing to resign from her position. But Dr Hopper offering her the position in the pediatric ward, I wonder if she'll take it. And running into Killian again, oh my gosh!

Aww, what a lovely date and I love how excited Ruby was for Killian! And it was going so well and the kiss was fabulous and Emma getting scared because it probably sounded exactly what her mother was describing love to feel like. But Killian is broken hearted, no!

Mary Margaret can be a bit much, but she does mean well. And both Emma and Killian can't stop thinking about the date and I love how his text made her smile! And Killian knows that Emma represents hope to him which is why he can't stop thinking about her. And a daddy/son day, I love it! I can't wait to see the date!

He asked her out and I love his explanation to her when she asked! And he couldn't stop thinking about her and calling her and I love how they told each other about their days!

Hehe, Ruby flirting with Whale! And Emma trusting Killian and they understand each other! I wonder what Emma will say to his blurted out asking her out on a date!

Wow, Emma's mother has no chill at all. Going through all of Emma's exes like that. And Regina is going to married to Robin, yay! And Killian can't stop thinking about Emma but he's scared that it isn't real or that he's not capable of love.

I love how Emma got Liam the teddy bear and Killian couldn't stop staring at Emma with Liam! And a look into Emma's life and how lonely she's feeling and reliving all of the heartbreaking memories now that she's getting some feelings and hope. I love that he cat is Tinkerbell. :P

Hehe, Ruby seeing how much Killian likes Emma and telling him to go after her cause his wife wouldn't have wanted this lonely life for him. And Emma can't get Killian out of her mind and rushing out of the room. I'm glad that she apologized but she thinks that Ruby is Killian's girlfriend, aahh!

Aww, Killian asking Ruby to bring Liam's things to the hospital and I love that he doesn't let go of the toy that his mother bought. He'll always have a piece of her, that's lovely. And Ruby explaining to Emma what happened and Emma realizing that Killian was not at fault and she misjudged him. I wonder if she'll apologize to him for how she acted.

Aww, it was so adorable seeing Killian with Liam! And Emma realizing that she misjudged Killian and she feels guilty cause she hates being misjudged herself. And even though Liam's okay now, Killian still feeling uneasy. I wonder who's on the phone, maybe Ruby?

Ok, I just. I'm not exactly happy with how Emma is treating Killian. I know that she's assuming that Killian is a bad father, but as a doctor, you're supposed to have people skills and not treat the family of your patients like crap, no matter what you're feeling. And you know what they say about assuming...Sorry, I know you explained it and everything, but as a pre-med student right now, learning about the importance of how you present yourself and how you treat everyone, not just your patients, this is just a bit frustrating. But I am glad that you showed Emma's thoughts through it. And Killian! The worry killing him, because he thinks that it's his fault and his head finally clearing after Emma said that Liam is okay. I'm glad for that and that Emma was able to help!

Oh my gosh, what a start! And I love why Emma chose to be a doctor and immediately going into action! And Killian wanting to do the best he can and make a life with Liam and to spend more time with him. And he was at a business meeting when it all happened and Emma thinking that he's a drunk and inattentive father, and I can't wait for her to find out the truth!

This was such a beautiful little read! Short and sweet and so full of the feels! I loved that Killian was the parent here and not Emma, it was a pleasant twist. Well done to managing to keep the characters IN character! I loved this! I’ve tried reading a few fanfics with Emma as the doctor and so far this has to the best written I’ve come across!
