As someone who has walked through burnout and is now healing but still dealing, I found myself strongly resonating with Kate in this fic. You did such an amazing job with this fic. I love your words. You certainly did an excellent job in showing the love between Castle and Kate. When Kate needed him he was there. Not at all surprised that Kate felt a little bad about messing up his dinner plans but Castle brushed it off.

Their dinner conversation was good and you got across on how Kate was feeling about her work. Castle said the right things to help.

I did like the part about Alexis and it was good to see Kate step in in order to help her.

The ending was very sweet.

This was a sweet story,and a kinda mindful story,especially when you think of the 10 years she really has performed this very tough takes it's toll...

Nicely done. I can see things unfolding like this. We know Kate has been thinking about kids, but isn't ready to jump. And I can see how feeling unhappy at work can keep those thoughts swirling in her head. I was a bit concerned when Rick deflected when she first told him she was burning out, but then he brought it up again after dinner, which was great. He wasn't dismissing her feelings, just waiting until she had more food and less alcohol in her to discuss it. Great partnership.
