Interesting angle about those pheromones and the laws of attraction. Jack's narrative is very in character with his captain persona. Great complement to Ianto's version.

First off, can I just say how much the author's note tickled me :)

And this final chapter? Very atmospheric - the whole way through I was hearing Jack's thoughts as a Mickey Spillane type commentary and was waiting for a shadowy figure to appear stage right, turning up his collar!

Again you've nailed the personality - I just wish that Jack had seen Ianto kicking f-k out of his precious coat - that way he would have had an excuse to call him back for something of a more 'detailed' chat :)

A very plausible and thoughtfully written play of events ... I'd have loved to see your version included in canon - so much of their 'relationship' was left unexplored.

Don't stick it. Instead, have a cookie on me for a job well done. You've accurately portrayed the angst and confusion Ianto just have been feeling at that point. His background is what I think makes him one of the most interesting characters in the show. We know so very little for sure that he is open to dramatic reworking and transformation in fanfiction. I look forward to reading Jack's version.

I'm glad you've posted this! It's really nice to read something like this in first person. These three scenes practically beg for it, they are so mysterious. I think you've done a great job, with the little references to Ianto's records, to Lisa, to his thoughts about men/Jack. Looking forward to seeing the other side! :)
