I can't stop thinking about Kaede ability to modified people. She may have modified Jaeger in fly to save him or Ackerman may ask for strength to avenge him(not caring about side effects).

Battle have started. So far it is more of a siege. Unspecified time limit for both Eva pilots and titans made even waiting exciting. Asuka and Rei arrival as a backup make one hell of an apology gift, after that negotiations are very possible. Evangelions may be outnumbered but in fight between 10 unarmed guys versus one with assault rifle, armed person seems to have advantage. Not to mention that pilots were trained to fight while SEELE power was influence and wealth not battle prowess. One thing I dont understand is why I brings copy of Lance of Longinus. This thing main feature is ability to ignore A field, which titans don't have. Unless you will give it some other useful properties bringing it is bad idea. Why bring something that don’t give you advantage but will give it to enemy in case of him stealing it.

I don't understand why Grausam hate Eren so much and want to turn people against him but madman don't have to act logically. It look like Misaka have decided what are her feelings. Akuma titan have started his atack and can cause lots of harm if he will not be intercepted.

It is understandable that canonical actions of Eren bring up concerns. Even he himself is terrified of his counterpart actions. I think that he will become titan once more in the future because of invasion. "You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." He will choose first one here. He will do "You Shall Not Pass!" against overwhelming forces to protect others. With SEELE there is no moral ambiguity, they want to kill innocent people because of the greed and rage and refuse to talk.

Grausam unlocks more power but I will not be surprised if he will lose himself to it because he don't have anything to fight for.

Kaede have reasonable approach to vengeance. She don't allow it to control her and want to kill Zanki not because of what he did but because of what he wants to do.

the newest chapter was epic when SEELE and Grausam do lose, because it is inevitable for their losses, will they be executed by Shinji and Kaede if they all don't fall in battle especially Gendo.

Wow, Asuka is such a tsundere that she is acting even before herself. I am not sure if it is romantic or other but I clearly see jealousy. I am not sure for what exactly she long for. It may be Shinji or way in which he treat Kaede (redhead would be ok with having anybody treating her like this) or she would love to be on Shinji place hero of another world free from angel war (she cant because of fate or lack of courage to desert).

Fight was short but really good. Both sides had clever ideas to deal with opponent.

SEELE is aware that NERV is coming. If it wasn't obvious earlier now we have confirmation Grausam play in only one team, his own.

Yui accepted that her family have fallen apart and Gendo and Shinji will never see eye to eye. Question remain how will it be between mother and son in worst case scenario I can see them saying goodbye on good terms.

Experiment with umbilical cables is good idea. It isn't necessary but it is good to have alternative. Unfortunately for Shinji it symbolize in his mind NERV control over him and bring bad thoughts.

It look like pieces are set and battle will soon come. For Akuma Titan powers, I suspect:
-Colossus without it he will be crashed like a bug.
-War Hammer one of best for battle.
-Armored another very good choice for a fight.
-Founding great way to turn his new ally's into pawns for his own goal.
-Attack it may explain his obsession and knowledge of titan serum in the past.

I know how you like building Shinji to be the merciful hero but when it comes this Akuma Titan Gendo he has no choice but to take him out the first chance he gets.
