Very sweet, I enjoyed the way you wrote this and how Ren mentioned his first moment of realisation as the confession starting point. And as much as people want love to be completely pure it definitely makes more sense for Ren to confess only because he’s desperate to stake his place in her heart. Thanks for sharing

You obviously don't live in the Pacific Northwest. We have two seasons as I call them. The rainy season and the dry season. I personally live in a valley between two mountain ranges and since one of those mountain ranges is between us and the ocean we get what's called a rain shadow effect. It rains here a lot. I like the rain.
