Belle Walker chapter 17 . 12/16/2018 I didn't necessarily want to read a kid-fic (and especially not one where the kid only belonged to one of them) but your high quality of writing sucked me right in and I just spent the past couple of hours thoroughly absorbed in it. Your story actually made me cry, it was that good. The characterization and dialogue and situations were spot-on. I can't even really call it a "kid-fic" now because as central as he was to the overall story, precious little Ben didn't dominate it. The main focus was Grissom and Sara, as it rightly should be. You gave Ben an appropriate amount of presence without his overwhelming the story or becoming nauseatingly cute/sappy, and that's not always easy to do. There have been so many stories on this site that I've started to read, only to roll my eyes in disgust and stop reading altogether because of the absurd plot, cheezy or juvenile dialogue, runaway narrative, or just overall dreadful writing. I don't claim to be a great writer myself, but I have low tolerance for poor writing of any kind and so I thank you for giving us a truly dignified, mature, and enjoyable read. Now somehow I must carve out a block of time to read your sequel |
Briana B chapter 10 . 9/8/2018 Hello dear! I read the side note you wrote at the end of your story chapter 10 and It is completely appalling to me that you get nasty reviews with inappropriate comments. My only words of advice would be: continue being you and writing what you’re writing. I’ve read this storyline from the beginning and I absolutely love it. Unfortunately, people will always talk. They’ll always have their opinions, and especially for the negative people out there, there’s nothing we can do to stop them. They’re arrogant and mean and very ignorant to disprespect others, especially others they don’t even know. Don’t even bother wasting your time on them. I love your stories and your courage to speak about it! Keep up the great work! Lots of love! A diehard fan of GSR Briana B |

Ziver69 chapter 17 . 11/20/2016 Magnificent! That kiss...what zing and I loved that ease you wrote with Sara holding Ben through the kiss. However...now there's this cliffhanger to get us all twisted up about! LOL, makes the wait for the sequel all the sweeter...and torturous, LOL. |
IKnowWhatToDOAboutThis chapter 17 . 11/20/2016 I went back and re-read the story before reviewing. It reads a lot better in one sitting as you get a feel for the real speed of events and the desperation and naivety of Sara about taking on Ben, so that she can have Grissom back. Grissom was no better, he did not take much convincing to try again, he is equally lost without her. I have no doubt they are both very genuine in their love and desire to be together again but have a lot to deal with, which they are clueless about. And clueless is what they have always been. The awkwardness, the inability to communicate, misinterpreting the others signals (GSR). You had both characters just right. Grissom's growth as a father was spot on. We saw these traits with Warrick (and Nick & Greg). Sara, as ever, trying to win his love and attention. A lovely story Looking forward to the sequel - so bad guy was 12 years ago? Presume this was 2014 (15 months or so after FMN)? |
Flybuggg chapter 17 . 11/17/2016 I'm guessing and excitedly hoping there is a sequel coming?! That whole story was awesome. |
