It makes me so sad, reading both the manga and the fanfiction out there, when Ace doubts his self-worth because of misinformed opinions regarding Gol D. Roger. He is defined by his actions, and not the blood in his veins. At Marineford, Ace's self-worth truly took a hit, but I'm glad that he died knowing that his family cared for him, and that he died as Portgaz D. Ace, BROTHER OF LUFFY :') I really enjoyed this fanfic and the reassurance Marco gave him 3
