Gohan could just ask shenron to change him back. In fact, he could just wish for the power to transform however he wants. That would let him regain his true form however many times he needs to. He could also use it in combat to use limbs that he didn't even have before. He could make them blunt, sharp and as durable and malleable as he wants. He could cange the materials, like that rare metal that broke the Z Sword. He could do so much with that power.
