spk chapter 4 . 2/26/2017 Absolutely LOVED the way you wrote these two families coming together and the way Dave handled Hayden! And of course the scene with the team here was just perfect! :) |
spk chapter 2 . 2/26/2017 Figured I should give the next re-read of one of your Zach stories or Matt stories a little break, so I decided to read your actual H/R series. I like how you write the relationship. I do have to let you know though that if you're doing Jack's school as named after the teacher who went to space (one of my childhood heroes), then her first name would be Christa, not Christie. (I know you're a stickler for details so just thought I'd let you know for future reference.) :) |
MrsChipRockefeller chapter 3 . 7/29/2016 Aw so glad seeing the family become integrated |
MrsChipRockefeller chapter 2 . 1/14/2016 So glad Dave is going to San Francisco to meet his family and get to know Joy better. Hope they meet Aaron and Jack one day. Also so glad Joy accepted Dave and Aaron's marriage |
MrsChipRockefeller chapter 1 . 10/29/2015 Aw love that Aaron's being so supportive of the existence of his stepdaughter |
Rexybaby aka Karen chapter 4 . 6/9/2015 OMG! I so love your Hotch/Rossi with Jack stories. I didn't find this one until it was competed so I got to read all 4 chapters at once. I loved the way Hotch looked after his family, especially the talk he had with Jack and when it pointed out to Dave that he had a visitor. Thank you for writing and sharing and please write more Hotch/Rossi stories as there isn't enough of them out there. |
sdia75 chapter 4 . 5/23/2015 Hi Rockie, I am so sorry it took me such a long time to read the final chapter. Last week was just crazy with exams. I had this student who worked hard but when she got the paper, she had an anxiety attack and blanked out so didn't write anything and I was so depressed as well after that as she knew her work really well despite having had a few psychological issues. I did have at the back of my mind that I had one more chapter to read tho :) Loved this chapter. The Dave-Hayden chat was superb. Gosh, this Hayden is quite a bossy person well set in her ways, planning out where her daughter is going to university without even asking her. Naturally the girl will rebel. Lol at Dave giving a heads up to Joy. And also, so funny when Hayden called him David as no one else calls him that. And being in this mindset, yes, its definitely plausible that Hayden has 'posh' friends who won't take to the fact that her ex is now gay. Lovely ending with Jack and Kai spending yet, more time together and Joy thanking her dad for giving her the heads up about her mum's visit. Also, loved the team banter as always and the team teasing Morgan why Emily won't want to stay at his place. |
p95000 chapter 4 . 5/17/2015 I'm glad Dave has a daughter. Liked Jack wanting to go to McDonalds when Dave was away. Dave handled Hayden well. Liked the ending with the family with Joy, Rob and Kai. |
Thn0715 chapter 4 . 5/16/2015 Oh Hayden... You'd think after all these years you'd know better than to argue with David Rossi! She clearly cares about her daughter, but has no respect for her or her decisions. It feels like she considers it a slap in the face that her daughter chose other paths than the ones she set out for her. I guess that's a product of her own upbringing or her profession, probably both. As for her feelings on Joy and David's relationship, I understand hear fear that Dave will leave Joy like he did her, and doesn't want to see her get hurt. But she doesn't realize that she's the one doing the hurting by trying to force Joy into a lifestyle she doesn't want. She's a grown woman. She can make her own decisions. She knew she was taking a risk in searching out her father, and to her it was a risk worth taking. But Hayden doesn't seem to understand that. One day she'll get it through her head. Or she'll lose them all. I'm very glad to see that Aaron and Joy have taken to each other so well. And that Aaron already considers her family. Hayden could take a lesson from that book. Wait... it's over?! Already?! Aw man! Now I'm bummed! Great story, babe. And nice job tackling the subject (even if it is the only time you do so.) |
Thn0715 chapter 3 . 5/16/2015 It's amazing how quickly the mind of a 9 year old works. Confused because Papa isn't home, worried that he'll have to share his Papa with this new person, a bit of excitement at being an uncle already, and of course, McDonald's! LOL! Aaron did a good job explaining things so that Jack could understand. And it was good to see Dave getting to know his new family. He and Rob seem to understand each other quite well. It's that Italian upbringing. ;) And the holidays just got bigger and better. And Dave still isn't allowed in his own kitchen! LOL! Uh oh. Here we go... |
Thn0715 chapter 2 . 5/16/2015 I actually like that Dave and Joy were both a little uncomfortable at first. It bugged me a bit on the show that she immediately started calling him "Dad". I don't know why, but it never really sat well with me. Anyway, the uncomfortableness is much more realistic. But once they get going, the conversation flows much more easily. Ah yes. Jack will of course have questions. Your turn, Aaron! |
Thn0715 chapter 1 . 5/16/2015 I love how Aaron's first thought is "groupie", but as soon as he hears the word "daughter" he's 100% supportive of Dave finding out whatever he can about this situation. And he knows if Dave tries to just brush this off that it will eat him alive. And I love Dave's "hit the lights" comment. Let's put this government vehicle to use and get moving! |
Daisyangel chapter 4 . 5/16/2015 Loved how Dave handled Joy's mom. |
SRgirl chapter 4 . 5/16/2015 I love the little family growing here and Jack having someone to be an example to with Kai is just too sweet |
sdia75 chapter 3 . 5/16/2015 Jack asking if the daughter is a girl - love it! Jack being a bit alarmed at sharing 'papa' and Aaron consoling him. Lovely scenes with Joy and Dave. I love that he has a daughter. And great family time as always with Sean and Jessica also over and Jack interacting with Kai. Gosh yes, it never ceases to amaze me how people travel with children on long flights. I am usually so tired after a long flight myself. OMG, the end of the chapter - Joy's mother coming! I didn't expect that twist. Anyway, so nice to have this to read Rockie. I feel a bit depressed that the shows are over, lol. I know you don't watch the Blacklist which seems to be my favorite addiction at the moment (not that the other shows are any less but you know how when you discover like a new flavor of ice cream you get over excited - the finale was a little too dark for my liking so I didn't know what to think). |
