sarahsezlove chapter 1 . 4/30 Sirius stepping up for Harry. I like it. |
rowenasheir chapter 1 . 4/10 So AD arrange for SB to die and HP stayed at Durskhaban. Only it turns out that HP was right and LV, having his blood negated the so-called protection and, when the Dursleys were visiting Marge, LV burnt down the Dursleys house with fiendfire, and HP with it. He was locked in his room! |
Alyssa chapter 1 . 3/18 Whatttt this is so amazing? I love your writing so much, and this story is absolutely perfect! |
Randomperson chapter 1 . 9/26/2019 ...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THAT ENDING. |
Guest chapter 1 . 8/29/2019 At first I thought Snape looked at more than just the broken arm incident to see what the Dursley family was really like. The way he said, "Headmaster, Potter's... family..." made it seem like he was concerned. Then Snape turned around and used the information he gained to taunt Harry in class. Then, nothing is said about this. Only that "if Harry was uncomfortable in Professor Snape's presence, he should have voiced his concerns to me or another teacher." How many times has Harry "voiced his concerns" and been brushed off? How is Harry EVER supposed to trust Dumbledore in the coming war? I never understood how he did in the books, let alone here. He certainly cares nothing for Harry, other than has a tool to be used in the war. More important for Harry to not die than for him to be a tad less safe from Death Eaters and live happily with someone who cares about him. Dumbledore treats him like his only value is in the war. A real child would have been completely screwed up after the war, and likely would have taken his life since his purpose was finished. |
Fyrebird85 chapter 1 . 8/21/2019 I find myself disappointed in this story. You had a great setup, heading towards confrontation and resolution, but then... fizzle. Only the mildest of outrage about the mind-rape, absolutely nothing about Snape's behavior in class, and no recriminations at all about Dumbledore knowingly sending him to an abusive household. And Chekhov's gun with Harry *preferring* to be under Imperius remains unfired. |
Harriverse chapter 1 . 1/23/2019 This was absolutely fabulous! Everything made sense and was logical in every way. Bravo! |
xharrypotter chapter 1 . 12/17/2018 loved it! |
SaiyaCat chapter 1 . 6/20/2018 Wow Go Sirius! |
Guest chapter 1 . 10/8/2017 I have to agree with GodricGeoffreyGryffindor's review. |
Undeniably Uzumaki chapter 1 . 8/5/2017 Honestly this felt very contrived, and disappointing. Your characters were ALL reactive instead of active, and you overlooked a number of cannon methods for dealing with the issue at hand. The summary sounded interesting but the actual story fell flat. Off the top of my head you ignored penseives, veritaserum, and Dumbledore using Legilimency. It was also poorly ended, with no resolution whatsoever to any of the main issues., |
TharzZzDunN chapter 1 . 10/27/2016 I think it would have been interesting to comment in front of McGonagall in the Headmaster's office to the remark of insubordination, "Well I imagine that as soon as you wipe my memory of this little incident, I'll go right back to being your obedient puppet." Perhaps Minerva could have found her discarded spine and stood up to her boss for once in her life. At the least, Harry could be transferred to another school, as he is attending Hogwarts against his guardians stated wishes. There still isn't any evidence that Dumbledore had any authority to place a child with another family, 'blood' relative or not. Interesting story, any chance of more in this vein? Cheers~! |
alleygirl24 chapter 1 . 8/8/2016 Ah. That last line stabbed me right in the heart. |
sherryola chapter 1 . 7/24/2016 wow, that's all? This was fabulous. I wish you'd written more. wow. |
GodricGeoffreyGryffindor chapter 1 . 7/4/2016 The ending is dissatisfying because it only addresses part of the problem. OK. So Harry doesn't return to the Dursleys. What about Snape's behavior? And what about Dumbledore's? There's not really any discussion with Dumbledore about the continual wrongdoing of Snape and himself. What steps are going to be taken to prevent Harry from continuing to be victimized by the Old Man and his Greasy Git sidekick? I'd like to see Snape required to formally apologize to Harry in front of the entire school and then never be allowed to teach him ever again, even if it requires bringing in private tutors. I'd like Dumbledore required to give a wizard's oath promising to never make another unilateral decision affecting Harry ever again. He should always have to include Sirius and Harry himself in any such decision. It's downright annoying that time and time again Dumbledore gets away with murder and just is able to sweep it under the rug and chalk it up to yet another of "an old man's mistake" as if that's the only one he ever made and it's not part of an overarching pattern of highly questionable, intrusive and manipulative behavior. Snape too, gets to repeatedly sweep his maliciousness under the rug because he's such a brave spy that somehow has Dumbledore's "complete trust". |
