i'm so sorry about your mother, i can't imagine how difficult it must be! my mom was ill when i was younger; she has chronic kidney disease, but when she was at her worst, i was too young to really have it affect me. i was like three or four. be strong, you'll get through it, and so will she! i'm always open to talk if you need to let off steam or vent or just talk. c:
anyway, this chapter made me straight up start crying. like i swear. it was so sweet and happy and the beginning was super cute and aaaa! quigsly is adorable. his naivety is so realistic for someone his age, and he's got such an endearingly clingy disposition. i love it. and ammy's initial reaction to hollypetal taking him out hunting, that slight bitterness, that wistfulness, agh, it just shows exactly how much she loves her little boy. it's hard seeing someone grow up like that, but at the same time, it's so wonderful. ammy was so proud of quigsly.
roseleaf finally journeying to starclan was such an ethereal experience to read. the flowers blooming up from seemingly nothing, in arrays of the most soothing colours ever, how her body changed from too-thin and matted fur to sleek and healthy, it's exactly how i'd imagine it on my own, and i think it's just perfect.
the reunion, too. how just making eye contact with hollyleaf, just seeing her happy, just seeing roseleaf happy- it was enough. it was enough to quell the ache of loss and confusion she'd been feeling for so long. it's like the depression that had been embedded in her from the very beginning was eased, and that's just so powerful. it didn't happen all at once. you portrayed it as a quest, a trek through everything she had to endure, twice over, and she made it, and while there's still more yet, she has finally reached a point where she can bear going on, with a sense of purpose. and that's a truly moving thing. and aa having raccoonpaw join in the parade made me so happy, haha.
the last scene? where petalpaw tells her sister not to do what roseleaf did
oh goshh, petalpaw was always such a wonderful sister and such a sweet character. the distance between the two was so lengthy for such a long while, but just that one little line shows that while hollypetal has been thinking about petalpaw all this time, in every waking moment, petalpaw has done the same in return. that deep sibling love is written so poetically it gave me chills to think about it. gosh. this was well done.
i would love to read more, but really, there's no rush. you're doing just fine! just make sure to check in and tell us you're okay, please!

Love these stories, but am I the only one who noticed the author (oops can't remember your name) said they were gonna put Molenose and Froststep together at some point, but they're both toms? Was that a mistake somehow? I have no problem with it but I've never seen two toms or two she-cats put into a story that didn't revolve around them/their relationship.

I loved reading your three stories! They were so sweat, sad, and exciting! I can't wait to read her heading back to her clan... I hope Sparrowflight's okay. :(
