So much fluff. Too much fluff. My heart is filling with fluff. Soon it will cease to function unless I get a shot of pure angst straight to the heart. I can't even begin to name what's cute in here, because everything fucking is. How is that even possible? My favourite mental image to giggle at now is Kaito failing miserably when aiming his forkful of waffles and just having a slack open mouth and maple syrup or whatever smeared on his face because he's so busy mooning over Shinichi's stupidly cute face. Thanks for writing!

Please create a sequel, I want to see how Shinichi will propose to Kid in the middle of his heist. Good job by the way.

A mid-heist proposal sounds entertaining and possibly awkward- after all, people aren't supposed to know THE Kaitou KID's civilian identity. KID proposing mid-heist people can laugh off (or fuel fantasies), his favorite detective? Not so much. Making KID fall off his perch (minus the fire this time, because Shinichi wouldn't want his thief burnt and would hopefully be deliberate enough to time things appropriately) might be a fun Wedding present to the Task Force, though.
Hell, propose during one of their little private encounters on the roof (or whichever exit route Shinichi deduced faster than anyone else) and let the Task Force and other detectives choke at seeing KID fall off a building. XD
Or mid-heist, while running, and get KIDnapped~! XD

I burst into laughter trying to imagine how proposing during a heist would actually work, especially with Shinichi-the-detective being the one to do it.
KID proposing could be considered a prank to other people if it happened the right way, especially if they don't see Shinichi saying "Yes" or any kissing. (Because Secret Identities are Secrets.)
Hell, KID could turn Shinichi into a bride, the Task Force into bridesmaids and groomsmen, and Nakamori into the priest or a mother-of-the-bride/groom (because it would be more fun than the Father despite certain appropriateness, though if Hakuba and Hattori -mother's of the bride and groom, respectively maybe?- or Hakuba and Aoko -priest and mother of the groom?- were there... XD ) with himself as the ostensible Groom, and the only people batting an eye for more than amusing pictures are the fans who'd speculate and ship them. XD

But Shinichi proposing mid-heist? That would either be a sudden discreet whisper that may result in him getting stolen with the target, or something very amusing and impressive and possibly hard to explain to anyone who knows Kaito and doesn't believe he's KID.
Though given that it seems to be perfectly expect-able that KID will fall off of something and injure himself in reaction, Shinichi could probably shout it for the entire Task Force to hear, and they'll just agree it's an effective tactic even if it won't work/shouldn't try it again. The fans would be pissed at him, though, thinking that's true and hating him for playing with "KID-sama's" heart. XD

Hakuba's reaction might be just as amusing as KID's, if he still believes Kaito is KID and knew they were dating. Disbelief that Kudou would actually do that in public to KID instead of Kaito, for one, and spluttering shock and amusement over KID's reaction, for another. Exasperation because he can sort of believe that really just happened, knowing them both as he does, particularly during heists. *cackles* I could see Hattori falling over spluttering, with added hysterical laughter if he knows about the Kaito-KID connection and that they've been dating.
If Nakamori had been told properly that Kaito is KID because of reasons like in your other one-shot, in which the Kaito/KID dilemma make it appear that Shinichi is a cheating bastard, before the proposal... He'd probably be facepalming afterward and scolding Shinichi for his timing, because Kaito hurt himself and could have been hurt a lot worse, before hugging them both in fatherly congratulations. XD
