Just read this whole thing again this evening and it certainly bought back all the same emotions that it did the first time. So very well done Rainey! You did an absolutely perfect job xxx

Well. That was not at all what I was expecting.

I thought it was going to be a story about the Tracys training up some new recruits to IR, and the difficulties etc of letting new people into their up until now private world! And those bits of the story were great - exactly what I was expecting, and I love the twins, if the Tracys have to take on new recruits, those two fit very well into the orgonisation and the family. (I particularly like the Gordon and Matt dynamic - and John is right, there's definitely a crush going on there!)

And then there was the other side of the story, the side I wasn't expecting. Very well handled for such difficult subject matters. Not too graphic but not so vague that I didn't get what was happening. Well done.

A friend just recommended this story to me - I must have missed it when it was first posted. My compliments on dealing with not just one but two tricky subjects in a sensitive manner; you gave enough detail for the reader to be aware what was going on but never allowing it to get too voyeuristic.
I did spot a couple of typos which I'd be happy to share in a PM if you want to contact me.

This was heartbreaking but so well written. I love elijah and matthew they fit right in.

So I started reading this and I started to like it, then I really got into the story, then I was horrified because of what was happening to John and thought should I continue as I was disturbed by what I was reading? I decided to continue and so glad I did! Yes it got distressing at times but then what followed was a great read, the recovery, verdict and the wonderful romance you created.

Oh Rainey, babe! I have loved this fic since the beginning, and I'm sad and happy to see it finished. Sad, because it's finished and happy because it's ended so well and we can see John (and Elijah) stepping forward into something new.

This has been beautifully written, emotional, and confronting in places, and not just for the reader, but also for the characters.

And you handled it all with dignity and without unnecessary sensationalism.

Wow! What an ending! No spoilers, but I have to say you had me on the edge of my seat! I do wish we had seen some of Amelia's testimony.

Lovely ending, too, even if Elijah's American accent was so terrible.

I think this story is a masterpiece, Rain. Your very best. Thanks for sticking with it through the good, the bad, and the terribly ugly. And thanks for showing us how John Tracy never gave up.

Fantastic chapters I always have little squeal of excitement when I see the update notification for this. Poor john ive never been in the box as a victim but done it as an expert witness and its tough with the defence they always seem to know how to twist your words. You got that all down to a tea I think well done cant wait for more
