My mind is spinning about what Gwaine would do. I just can't see Merlin drowning his sorrow and grief in booze; it's not his style, even if it is Gwaine's. Though, I don't think enough credit is due Gwaine, he's not just a drunk, he is loyal, brave, and maybe just as selfless as Merlin, also a good friend. So I am hoping you have something wonderful in mind for Merlin that will help him get passed this awful time he's going through. I want to see happy Merlin again.

That was painful to read. I just cringe for Merlin's sake.

That just had to happen didn't it. So very sad. How will a kind hearted Merlin live with these thing in his past - not to mention thrown at him in the present.
