I have always thought the fact that Sherlock spends his retirement playing with bee hives quite... odd. I can't remember it being mentioned before that the detective was into bees and suddenly... I love the way the reception went in your version. Mycroft's comeback to Sherlock is hilarious. I understand why you felt the need to skip it, though. And it takes cleverness and a good writer to realize when it's better to leave something out.
The scene in the hospital was wonderful. I love how you write the three of them together - with all the subtext going on.
Sweet how Mycroft freaks out (oh, he will go through hell when his girl is a teenager) and what a caring uncle Sherlock is. Of course he would have wanted them to name their daughter after him.
Oh, Sherlock, don't disappoint Molly. Stay away from the needle! (Your brother has better use for them ;-)
I am looking forward to the next chapter and the new instalment of "And so beats a gentle heart". Don't stress. I'll be patient. Maybe. A bit. ;-)

I've never been overly fond of Mycroft and Molly together, but your stories made me change my mind. I am glad you are writing a sequel and I love the title!
Letting poor Sherlock wait! I like how you've turned the phone conversation of the episode around and let us see it from Mycroft's POV and slightly altered it.
