So, after binge reading this... and I could not put my phone down to stop reading or even sleep.. the story has me in it's clutches.

At the same time im crying because this hasn't had an update for a year already and I honestly love the way you portrayed them in this story. :( I would have loved to know what happens to Atem and Yuugi... and Im intrigued by what Atem's mom meant about Yugi... feels like there's something about Yuugi's background, that hasn't been shown yet.

Ryou and Bakura became my fave here.. Ryou most especially.

Another great chapter girk...I swear every chapter I read I feel o get more bits and pieces and ithe secret to all of this is there but I just need one last piece to make the puzzle.
Otherwise I love this story! Yami and Yugi's heartbreak is so real and their personalities are so fresh and wonderful!
Also I forgot to mention I LOVE kURIBOH! His little puppy is so cute! I love that she just makes everything happy.
Also much as I think I know who ryou's mystery man is gonna be...Bakura! And somehow I think thsts how Bakura finds out what is going on and you know once he does he is not letting his adoptive son do this on his own no matter how much he protests-and if Atem tells him what's going on you know he'll tell Yugi just for Atem's sake...man so much drama but I feel like everything is gonna connect in that buzzard fandom way that turns out not to be so random that Fate is famous for...she is after all an evil genius ;)

I only have 1 question (prayer actually): They are going go get together and be happy at the end of this right?

Every time I read ''tis my heart skips a beat...even though I've read this tealnakready im always looking for clues to figure out what's gonna happen next-I'm totelly convinced thet Siggy's case is the catalyst bear and Aky lost all his money and is making everyone think he's still rich. Y using Atem and thet the only reason he brought Atem home is because ziggy wants himnoit of the picture so he can get Yugi back
...though a part of me thinks Yami's mother honestly wants him back and knows this is wrong but she's so wrapped up in this role she's played as perfect housewife rich pitch and control that she can't breaknit and knows telling Yami the truth would bring the whole house of cards down-she thinks she's protecting him. If she's just making it all worse...and I know Ryou is already suspicious about this.
I will also say I LOVE thet Yugi has a Lilly now! Someone to help him heal his broken heart...poor little guy beedsnlove! (Both Yugi and the puppy)

Well, you got me hooked.

This story is very well written - particularly the way you place your flashback scenes. Also, your descriptions are excellent, not too brief but not overly saturated either.

I do find Atemu's personality pretty interesting. The majority of fanfiction authors tend to make Yuugi the naive one and Atemu/Yami the more experienced/'wise' one so I definitely was surprised on this twist. I like it. Yuugi's personality too, in a way. Though that kid frustrates me to no end! Haha. COMMUNICATE, Yuugi! That's what any relationship is about! Platonic or romantic. Heck, more than a few times I caught myself saying stuff like "god f*cking damn it, Yuugi".

Another thing, I really like your idea of having both Jou and Yuugi working in their own bakery store. I always like seeing authors try different scenarios and I could totally see them running their own bakery... Jounouchi in particular.

I must admit though, the most recent chapters have been a bit difficult to read due to the turn of events that keep unfolding. Sad to say, I've been in the same situation as Atemu... so it was incredibly hard to finish. Particularly the no contact messages from the parents amongst the unanswered text messages. Déjà vu all over again. It's never easy when your parents have control issues and try to meddle in with your life including your relationships. However, my experience and relationship did have a happy ending! Hopefully it will be the same for these two. :)

All in all, well done. Thank you for taking your time to write out the story. I look forward to the next chapter.

Awww poor Yugi and Atem neither get what they deserve and get heart broken. Hope things will start to look better soon.

You know every time i read this chapter i hate his father even more-and when i do I remember everytime i get pissed athis mom and you hint that there's more to her than that-
Re-reading this, I wonder-i'm definitly convinced Adira has a secret, one that somehow relates to Yugi-or someone who knows him...and the way she calls him baker and tries to comfort Atem it makes me think deep deep deep down she actually does love and care about Atem but she's been Aknankannon's wife for so long that mask won't break, but there is definitly some gilrt there-which makes me longer, how long will it be until she breaks...
I also love that we finally get to See Yugis family, especially his close bond with his mother:it makes me hope when all this is over, Atem and her can meet since i think she's adore him...it also makes me think maybe she knows Atem's mother-
There is definitely something going on, somehitng about Yugi that they don't want to tell or Atem or CAN'T tell him-possibly because if they do it will tear all their leverage apart...why else would Aknankannon go to such great lengths to get Atem back if not to keep him ignorant?
I'm hoping and praying this has a happy ending somehow...I really do!

I understand where Atemu's coming from, as he's trying so desperately to cling to the best and sweetest memories of his parents. However, he also needs to realize that he's not living in the past anymore. Frankly, he needs to let it go. Yusei's right. He can't let his parents get away with anymore manipulation or deception, even if they are, well, his parents. It's choosing whether to preserve the happiness of the past that could've or that of the present which will. Plus, the inability of Atemu's mother to give a valid reason is highly suspicious. While it may come to light later as some dark history, there could very well be no reason and it was just a ploy for their insatiable controlling behavior (too dark?).
Finally, I'm not really feeling the love/connection between Atemu and Yugi anymore. You can say it's because they're in the middle of a breakup and there won't be any fluffy scenes of them together anytime soon, but I would deny it. I know that Atemu's struggling and everyone has their own internal conflicts, AND that his decision could mean putting two (fictional) people in jail for quite a long time or forever. I can't pinpoint my reasoning exactly, but the doubt is there. At this point, dare I say it, I see more of Yugi and Siegfried getting together (and not as a rebound). Although, I am liking their acquaintances/friend dynamic. And before anyone says "How could you?! He's a cheating piece of trash!", second chances and forgiveness exist. No matter how naive it sounds. Alas, if that were to happen it would ruin the point of the story. For Sigfried was only brought in to begin turmoil and who knows what in future chapters. This also happens to be the continuing struggles of their love story that had begun that fateful night at the bar to Tom Jone's "What's New Pussycat". So even though I see it differently now I know how this will end, and I hope you can drag me back into their romance. I also can't wait to see how this all wraps up (even if you're not close to the end yet). Finally, notice how you've caught my attention, this review is proof.
