Words cannot express how deeply the final lines of this story cut into my heart. I read the entire FanFiction in one day because I couldn’t put it down and I don’t regret it at all. Thank you so much for writing this.

This was quite impressive and fun to read. I love how the character grows and love the ending. This could honestly be an original work that would make a fine novel.

I listened to Titanium while reading this and I can honestly say that I cried. Hard. For ten whole minutes. Damn. You are such a awesome writer!

I loved this story but Goddammit I am now crying because of it. I can't just straight up hate Smaug anymore, and Lari got the happiest ever after she could have but... I don't even know. I'm just sad and this story is too good. Ya know when Smaug's heart broke, mine did too!

So, there was no Dara ou Dana, right? She just thought that it was. Smaug never said yhat there was a girl named Dana. Could it be that Dara was in the library and wrote out that message because Smaug had been in a deep sleep and she had been able to explore for a little bit begore dying? I dony get it. Since Smaug only ever seems to be referring to Lari, and whenever Lari asks about another girl, Smaug only looks at her and changes the subject as if she was crazy. Has she gone crazy living in the mountain? PLEASE EXPLAIN WHATS GOING ON!

Im confused. So she' the girl that was crying? But Smaug said that she was the only girl with long blond hair! Im so confused. Gues I'll have to keep reading.

I dont understand why she said that she wouldnt see him again. Wasnt she planning on finishing the story and escaping? Or, wasnt she going to steal more jeweles and give it to him? Hmmmm. Confusing.

While that was kind of Bard, it's like giving flowers to a dead person. You should give them to people when they are alive, not dead.

Yeah, when people dont take care of each other, the community become likes the one in laketown. Everyone fending for themselves, only to become more and more poor. Its facinating. And yet, if they all served and helped one another, not even a dragon could take them down. Its a good thing that the city will burn _

Ok, why is Bard such a coward? I mean he should have at least MENTIONED the possibility of running away to go live with the eleves or something. It's completely unrealistic to think that he loves her, let alones LIKES her. Any teenage boy who loves a girl would be willing to defend her and be her protector. Guys get off on that sort of thing. I just think that you should have played it a different way, you know? Made it more realistic. For example! Because of his depression, you could have had the father die before Maude sent Lari. That would be more realistic than him sending off his daughter (the only thing he has left of his wife) to be killed. More realisitcally, he would have gone in her place and offered himself. Obviously he's not a woman. But it's the thought that counts. Think about it. He lost his wife, lost his lifelong job, his family is beginning to starve begore his very eyes...it wouldnt make sense that he would want to continue to live, especially with the guilt of his daughters murder (because thats what it is.) Ask any man that, and he'll tell you. But if he had died, then yeah, I could see Aunt Maude selling her out.
Also, the fact that Bard didnt take her to HIS home, also shows that he doesnt care. Instead he just pulls her from the lake after SHE TRIED TO KILL HERSELF and is like "Yeah, I dont care, we're taking you back home now. C'mon." Lol!
One more thing, before I continue to read. You have a great stroy here. Visually speaking, it's incredible and I find myself INSIDE the story. If you just change the characters a bit and how they interact with one another, it will become more real for us, the audience, instead of like watching a puppetshow 3

You should do one last page where they meet again in the afterlife.

Is it sad that i wished for this to have ended differently? I do love how it came to be and the way you have written it, but you did it so well that i felt kinda sad for the old dragon. Even one as estranged and devious as Smaug searches to be loved even when they dont know they are.
Smaug will forever be one of the best done dragons to have been written. And with what you did for this story between Lari and him...i just don't have the words for it but know it is nothing but positive things about it.

I am completely in love with the ending! I couldn’t have even imagined it fit so well. Too many times amazing stories end with subpar endings and this one bumped this up to one of my favorite FanFiction’s of all time. You are a wonderful author and thank you so much for writing this.
