I just wanted to say that you are everything I long to be as a writer. The sheer density of imagery and emotion in your phrasing is stunning, how it's almost effortlessly evocative. As a style of prose it's almost transparent, the thinnest veil between the reader and the character; you forget you're reading, nearly, because you're so caught up in feeling. It is wonderful and beautiful and astonishing, and I feel privileged to have stumbled upon this. Thank you very much for writing and sharing.

I'll tell you now that this story doesn't deserve the nearly negligible attention that it's received so far-it deserves much more. I enjoyed reading this a lot. Your writing style is crisp and conveys images and sensory details brilliantly, and I love how you characterize both Maria and Canaan. Keep writing!

When I saw the characters you had listed and then read the summary, I was kinda afraid for what could come. I did not expect myself to burst into tears when I read the final sentences. ;-;

Nice story, I like what you did with the photography/picture ssymbolism (I hope you can understand me; I can't seem to find the right words to explain it with). I'll read it again when my emotions have died down. That sentence is gonna be stuck in my head for so long though...
