also Unlimited blade works ONLY copies weapons of war (shields, axes, swords, spears etc), there's no toasters in the UBW

just something to point out, the degradation in quality doesn't come from gaia, it comes from the fact that shirou's structural grasping is incapable of fully copying everything about a weapon from sight alone, if he spent a significant amount of time studying something he could probably counteract the degradation but the absence of gaia would only allow his projections to remain indefinitely.

Definitely wanting more of this!

This story is deader than dead, so it doesn't matter, but I think Shirou should end up with Arturia and basically whoever else came from his world. Optionally maybe one person from the WoW universe, but there's a precedent of the Fate girls liking him so there's something to build on for actual romance.

I think it's weird that a simple anti-theft enchantment kept Shirou from tracing a blade. The way I think it would work is that the blade would treat him as the owner and make it so that no one else who handled the blade he traced could use it. The only exception could be the original owner. Probably.

I'm really not fond of the idea that Shirou is wearing full plate armor. That's like the antithesis to how he would fight. He should probably have gotten custom armor made to be something vaguely reminiscent of what Archer wore. That is to say, mostly light/medium armor with some plate pieces on his limbs.

I don't think anyone would really complain if it was a curb stomp story, so long as the way it was handled was entertaining.

I'm more concerned/annoyed that Shirou got separated from whoever came along with him. I'm assuming Arturia is somewhere in Azeroth, but there was a plural when speaking of the girls with him, so Rin or Illya might be there too? I don't want Sakura to be around because of the implied Angra Mainyu potential nonsense, but eh.

I'm also not super fond of Shirou becoming a Paladin, but then I never super enjoyed playing Paladin. I would prefer he became a multi-class mage and hunter or something to better fit his skills as a Magus and what he gleaned from Archer.

I'm assuming Rin, if she's there, will be a brokenly overpowered Mage. Especially if she can conjure mana gems. Arturia would make more sense as a Paladin herself, what with Excalibur being something like a Holy Sword that's attuned to light, hope, salvation, etc.

It would almost be more amusing for Shirou to take no class and do whatever he wants. Learn some mage skills from mages (or Rin or Illya), learn some Paladin skills from Arthas (or Arturia), etc. etc. but never truly claiming a single class for himself.
