Ugh. Why are you so talented? I swear, I'm disgusted all over with writer's envy!

This has got to be one of the best fight scenes I've ever read, hands down. I felt like I was watching everything unfold before me in real-time while I read this. Some writers make their fights sound so choppy and mechanical, but somehow yours managed to flow despite the plethora of dialogue interspersed throughout.

Speaking of dialogue, all of it was amazing! You capture their morbid banter with such precision, especially when dealing with the fluctuations in Seras' mood and her violent spurts of anger. So dark at times, but the charm was still there!

I was especially impressed by your figurative descriptions, particularly in excerpts like the following:
"She knew that she was only playing Devil's Advocate, or maybe a twisted verbal form of Russian roulette—which sentence would hold the bullet? Who knew?"
Basically, you don't overdo it, but the succinct impact gets the job done.

And I must say that I was not expecting all that heated interaction at the end, but you didn't disappoint. The shift from violence to sensual proximity felt pretty seamless in my opinion (especially since they're vampires). And it was sexy without losing that edge that preserves their individual character traits and dynamic. That's definitely something I've noticed about your writing overall; you're really good at taking the characters and fitting them into different scenarios of your own choosing, all without compromising their personalities, which is the hard part that most people screw over.

Thanks so much for writing this; it shall definitely be something I seek to re-read often, often, often.

I absolutely adored this. All of this was so so so wonderful, one of the best characterizations of these people (and vampires) I've ever read. Alucard was as glorious as always and Seras don't take no shit anymore hehehe. plus the way you described that fight scene was a definite yes in my book.

We're total bosses when it comes to collabs, yanno? We get a bazillion times as many words in a chapter together rather than separate. My chapters, anyways, yours can be pretty damned long just by themselves where as I tend to split them u[ at the 5k mark or so. I should really work on that, huh?
