The glee I feel whenever I beat one of my parents is just unexplainable... Especially when I beat my father since he tends and enjoys to tease me (all his three children to be honest) in a manner that reminds me of your Thranduil (don't worry, we love teasing him back). I can empathize with Nimdir (by the way, has the name have a meaning?).
That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this piece.

Well, I landed on this story because I really like Thranduil-centric stories. I only used to read Harry Potter fanfics, but I've decided that I need to branch out into another fandom, so I started a new LOTR account so I could make a Best of Thranduil C2. He just does not get enough credit, you know? I'm always surprised that there are not more really good Thranduil stories out there. Why is that? And if you know any really good Thranduil stories, please help me find them!

One piece of constructive criticism: Dialogue Tags. You need to develop your dialogue. For example, you use "Legolas insisted" too much. It gets a little repetitive. To quote Bob Mayer, "Trying to make up for the lack in written dialogue by overusing eccentric dialogue tags is very common and very jarring." Vowed, shouted, groaned, advised, muttered, insisted. Use these dialogue tags sparingly, because they clutter up the flow of your dialogue.
