I can see where you're coming from with the abusive relationship angle. In our society, yes, you're completely right. However, I myself was coming from a different approach.

With an alpha/omega relationship in this story, the alpha is suppose to be in complete control. What he says goes; that's the way it always was, and that's the way it always will be. There is suppose to be that sense of ownership in those relationships; an omega belongs to its alpha completely. I do agree that the abuse aspect is not agreeable, but I imagine that if and when an omega disobeys its alpha, there would have to be some sort of ramification.

Also, in my mind, I see Alex's/Michael's relationship as the true alpha/omega relationship. And I kind of fel that if Lucifer had taken that much control earlier instead of letting Alex do her thing, she wouldn't have run off.

*deep sigh*
So...jesus christ i don't know how to begin. It's a good story. Well written and all, but the relationship. Now this is me but I am pretty sure the relationship between alex and lucifer is unhealthy. If i sound arrogant or passive agressive forgive me as this is the first time I've done this. But yeah. The relationship is incredibly unhealthy. The abuse and the sense of ownership and the dependence alex seems to have with lucifer. She fears angering him and he yells at her and enjoys her fear. Its textbook abusive relationship.
I could go on but I'll spare you the rant and there's only so much one can type on mobile.
