Here I was minding my own business enjoying a perfectly fun little post-ep and then this:

“I just wish she would let me love her.”

First of all how DARE you come at my feels like that. Then to follow it up with Richards ruminations on becoming parents and realizing their mistakes and...OH MAN OUCH. Emily is such a complex character and she’s easier to “see” on the show through rory’s Eyes because lorelai always sees her as the villain. It’s wonderful to read stuff like this that marries the good complexity of her character with what we see from lorelai’s pov.
