Damn! That explains Matt's older people thing though. Stupid Stick! He ruined Matt for life! You got I to Matt's messed up head really well. I felt his frustration and I loved the humor when he said, sorry, your not my type. Lol. It helps with the heavy story line.

Loving' this fic! They all sound so in character...and the dialogue got me hooked! I just can't wait for Stick to appear.

You write such wonderful Daredevil stories, and I think this one is my favorite so far.

It's really interesting how you write Matt's sexuality here; he's not straight obviously, but I think he's not exactly bisexual either. Demisexual maybe? The way you wrote how he wants to be able to relax his senses around him seem to point to an orientation not exactly well-defined by media.

As for his relationship with Stick in this story, it seems very damaging and not exactly free of squick, but I think that's intentional on your part. Stick seems to be highly influenced with the old samurai practice of Shudo, where a mentor-mentee relationship is often blurred with a romantic relationship. It's highly fascinating for sure. Matt wants a father, Stick wants a soldier and in his twisted mind, this is probably the best middle-ground he can think of.

I hope you continue this! It's a very interesting take on Matt, who is usually portrayed to be straight as a nail. Great job!

Interesting. I could see Matt looking to rekindle the relationship he had with Stick (even if it was/is unhealthy). I loved seeing Foggy worru about Mat,m such a mother hen. Nice job
