Hi! This story line is really interesting! I really like that you include what Lily is thinking and feeling during her death. It adds to the scene in a way that really makes it pop. I know that it's been almost four years since you've updated this, but I really hope you one day decide to pick this up again. I think you could twist this in so many interesting directions.

LOL the 'James' in Harry's name stands for James 'Bucky' Barnes. That is hilarious. XD

I don't really know enough about Bucky to tell you if he's in character or not, but I thought everyone else was good, I especially like how you recognize the Marauders are freakin geniuses and can do anything :D. The research of the specific time period was greatly appreciated, especially in your choice of Lily's job. Bucky and Lily's interactions were cute, what little we saw of it. I think this would have benefited from being longer and having more detail of the relationship, instead of a summary of it. He really did act a lot like James though, I like how that's a factor in Lily's attraction to him.

I like that you didn't completely break up Jily, because I love them to bits. I think it's really unrealistic, not to mention stupid, when in fics like this the person just immediately forgets their former life and love and falls for the new eye candy. The transition for Lily took a while here, which I liked, and it wasn't insta-love.

I loved how honest Lily was with James afterwards, and that he did resent her a little, he is human after all, but he forgives her and still loves her, no matter what. That was sweet.

Now, I do sort of hate the ''Insert name' here was really Harry's father' sort of fics, because they make no damn sense. It is repeatedly stated Harry looks almost *exactly* like James, not just having his hair or his eyecolor, like with Lily. There is no possible way Snape or Voldemort or Sirius or whoever else would be his dad, because he's like a carbon copy of little James, so much so that Lupin instantly recognized him on the train, in the dark.

I get AUs and interpretations and whatever, but this trope in particular really irritates me. I know this was the prompt, and I know it's just personal preference, but I would have liked this more without the pregnancy getting involved.

This is a very original idea. I'm interested to see how this diverges from cannon. Great job so far, keep up the good work!

I am enjoying this very much. I hope you update soon with how Harry is with Bucky as his father. I can't help but wonder if Lily's enchaments protected Bucky as the Winter Soldier, even helping him survive. I am curious about the timeline. This chapter was 1981, so Harry will be an adult for The Winter Soldier. Will you move times around? Or have a mission in England cause the father and son to meet early? Anyway, I liked how you had Lily and Bucky fall together. I will definitely read more chapters! Update soon!
