Hey, not sure if you will see this as I realise that this story was finished a few years ago but just wanted to say that I came here after being hugely disappointed with the second game & craving more time with both Joel & Ellie & them doing what they do best.
I have really enjoyed reading your story & it has helped fill a hole that the second game left me with. Far better than the plot of the second game.

I've gotta say, this is one of the best Fanfictions that I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I really feel that you captured the characters true to form. The only thing criticism that I have is that you get just a little too deep into the emotions. Just a little less repetition and detail into the characters emotions and it'd be perfect. Other than that, KEEP IT UP! lol. Thanks for writing this, man.

Constructive criticism for the future:
Are you familiar with singing? There's a million types of singers, but I reckon you should probably hear the song 'Hallelujah' or other emotional ballads. A good song isn't at the peak of emotion every single time. When you keep hitting the big notes, the notes mean less. It isn't that I don't enjoy the relationship between Joel and Ellie, but if you slowly build to the big, emotional 'baby girl' scenes then they mean a lot more. They happen so often that the words don't mean what they could.

You know ever since I saw the trailer for this game when it was first coming out I knew I had to play it and three years later I made a friend who led me borrow her PS3 and the game so I finally could and it was the best damn game I have ever played and once I beat it I knew I had to keep going and FanFiction was the source for that and then I found this story; to me this game really hit home because inlike most people what I want in life is to give my children the one thing I didn't have growing up and that was a father, as I kept playing I notice how Ellie and Joel started caring more and more for each other and through the whole game I kept hoping neither would die and everything will be alright, I totally agree on your last A/N of this story! I'm glad I read it and now I can put into words why I believe this game is a masterpiece thanks to you (I'm not the great with words)
