Overall, I think this is a well-written and very creative sci-fi take on RotG. However, there's something I do want to complain about, as someone who's half-Australian: Bunny's habit of calling Tooth "sheila". Although Outback Steakhouse uses it on their bathroom doors, "sheila" is actually a somewhat derogatory term for a woman, akin to the American "broad". I just wanted to clear that up.

Very intriguing! I'm digging this fic so far - very promising plot :) Onwards, to chapter 2!

this is hands down the best fanfiction I have ever read- I truly appreciate this story! It's extremely well written and I know it's been a while since it's been published but I just wanted to message this. You have a (natural or built either way) beautiful skill for writing and as a person who reads quite often- I thought I was reading a young adult novel. Thank you for this fic it was awesome!

OH MY THIS WAS FANTASTIC! I really loved the world you crafted and would love to see a sequel if you ever come back to this - even if its just a few oneshots about life on board the ship, or the guardians monthly meeting, or the other guardians meeting Maggie and finding out the kids stayed with Jack... things like that. And we finally come back full circle. Maggie! Clever, strong Maggie. I loved that Maggie did just fine for herself, and Jack acknowledged her strength. It's so easy to see how much Jack wants her to come with him, but Maggie has to give him a hard time of course.

I think they'll all be awesome together, flying out in the stars. Jack is pilot of course, with Jamie as copilot. Mags gets to be ship nurse, and patches all these knuckleheads up when they get into trouble. Hmmm... I think Pippa ends up in charge of inventory and scheduling jobs, and is quite the taskmaster. I think Monty would make a great ship chef, and make sure everyone is eating. And Sophie would be Mags' and Monty's secret weapon, because no one can resist med check ups or food when Sophie is asking them.

I'm also imagining a scene early after this where the Guardians find out that some of the kids sent to Jack's planet just, somehow, mysteriously, never made it there? And asking Jack about it at their first meeting. Jack straight up denies everything. "No idea what you're talking about. All kids made it home." Mags, exasperated, punches him in the shoulder, and then they're interrupted when the door crashed open. Sophie tumbles into the room, giggling, and leading a frantic line of Yetis chasing after her.
Guardians: -look at Jack-
Maggie: -eyebrow raised, looks at Jack-
Sophie: -giggles-
Jack: "... They're where they are WANTED, okay? I'm pretty sure we established before that home is where your family is, right?" He's not looking at anyone as he says this.
Then the Guardians agree that clearly, they're are no missing children. They're clearly all back at their homes, safe and sound. And if there is a twinkle in North's eye, or a tear in Tooth's, no one mentions it.

So, just a little scene I was thinking about for after this. It... got a little longer than I expected. Oh well.

They're finally safe! Jack finally has a place among the Guardians, and his own ship, and Jack's going to kidnap a few kids, nbd. I'm really happy for him.

On to the last chapter! I'm so excited!

Awesome chapter! Jamie was amazing fighting back, and Jack's learning new things about his powers.

Also, Manny. Huh. Didn't expect that, though I probably should've. He's just as much of an odd figure here as he is in the movie.

Fifty kids on one space ship! Hehehehehe. :) I somehow think Jack's going to handle that way better than the rest of them.

Ohhh, what a chapter! What a rollercoaster of moods! The Guardians finding out about Jack and Pitch, Pitch's little monologue of evil, and Jamie and Sophie! Eeeee! Jack's gotta go back and save them now. After all, he promised he'd be there, right? :)

Good job on changing Pitch's motivations to suit this AU. It doesn't make him any less creepy and twisted, but I like bad guys with reasons.

Leprechauns! So cool! But poor children.

The disappearing people thing was well done. Jack kept mentioning it throughout the story 'till it became fact for me, and so I felt Jack's disbelief when the Guardians didn't know.

And we finally get backstory behind the scar. Now I understand why Jack became so withdrawn and why he struggled to smile for Mags - he was feeling guilty that whole time. Poor Jack. Poor Maggie.

Good action scene! Had me on the edge of my seat. Bunny and Jack work well together, don't they?
