A great ending to this terrific story, EF! Tim has his real mother and his adoptive family, as well as his NCIS family now. He may always miss his father and that part of his life, but he will now be able to move on confidently and more comfortably in the life he has chosen. Nicely done!

I really enjoyed this story. Happy that Tim was able to find his mom and get to see both of his parents together. Glad he finaly felt like he has some balance in the life he chose.

Still a happy reader in spite of Abby insistance? pushiness? I guess I'm just not a Abby fan. Like it when she gets put in her place.

liked the final goodbye to Tim's father and that Abby was there made sense.

Hi, thanks for this wonderful epilogue with glimpses into how life went on for Tim.
Shona can surely share leaving Tim with his father, but I imagine he became a guy sailing off into the sunset for public consumption. That would fit with Tim recalling beaches, and playing among seals in his early years. I trust Shona has many a selkie story to tell though, only Tim and her would know how much lore was truth.
Abby really made an impression to be allowed the DNA sample from Tim's dad. I can only imagine her enthusiasm, and it's something that would make a good base for McAbby in this 'verse. That's just my romantic bone speaking. :)

Hi, she came to the beach every day, that is one testimonial of love! Shona, maybe one day you'll tell her full story, it seems like Tim is her only child. It must have been very strange for Tim to see his birth-parents together at the beach.
Now about the family resemblance to the first Tim McGee. How strange and wonderful if Tim was able to take on the family traits through a magical function of his selkie transforming DNA. Magic as in advanced science. : )

Hi, Tony proposing to hold hands and sing to get in touch with the selkies is pure DiNozzo. He must be almost over his unease about Tim's origins. It's good that Tim knows he can count on Tony.
Jethro to be seen as a seal-like creature has me thinking about the selkies' relationship with true seals. Are they like pets to them? I would have seen them more like wildlife they check on.
Tim going on this beach quest with his father is great, I wonder how they will go about it, and how far they'll get.

Hi, that was a real nice initiative. Once people are used to talk to Tim, they won't ever stop, even if the crisis is over. I do hope the ones who wanted to run Tim off see that they were wrong.
