I hate you so much right now! This story was not what I expected, but I loved it anyway! How could you kill it when there was finally almost a happy ending for Dagur and Hiccup! I want you to know that I started this thing right when I woke up this morning and I have now finished it at 6:41am. AM. I stayed up all night for this thing and you do me like that. Over 303k words I read! For what!? I mean, I saw it wasn't completed, but I had hope! I saw your mass amount of other completed sorties and I believed in you! Who spends two years, crafts 105 chapters, and painstakingly picks over 303k words just to give it all up!? This might just be the best How To Train Your Dragon fanfiction I've ever read! You just broke my heart! All that time! The laughter! The suspense! The TEARS! All for nothing! No closure for me! I'll just spend the rest of the night thinking about what could have been! Oh wait. I spent the while night reading! I have to get up in like half an hour! Oh well. Guess I'll just spend the rest of my LIFE wondering instead! This is probably the longest comment I've ever written. Probably because I'm sleep deprived and emotional. Thank a lot!

The very beginning of the chapter really make us remember why that transition must have been hard, and just how amazing it is that it happened at all. Because both sides must see someone who killed somebody they know very often, and damn if that isn't hard on the conscience.

Well, seems like this is a rather sad chapter all in all. Old Wrinkly lived a good life, and even managed to say his goodbyes to some of his loved ones. Still, the grief, especially for the first death of a loved one, is always hard.

Aw man, I can’t really say stuff after reading it all. It started out as adorable family stuff, and then it went to deep meaningful yet dark stuff. But in the end it was all amazing! It really pains me that you will not continue though. But I will read your other story’s. This is what I have been reading for a while and it always pains me when a good book has ended. Thank you for filling the lost HTTYD shaped hole in me. Really, thx. I do hope one day u can update but that would be asking to much. Your an exhale to writer!

Hiccup and Astrid are the same age..

Comme promis en message prive, je te commente ton histoire en français car je ne pourrais l'exprimer en anglais.

Ton histoire est incroyable, epoustoufflante, extraordinaire. Je cherchais depuis un tred long moment une fic sur la vie d'Harold ( en anglais c'est Hiccup) avant les évènements du 1er film. Et je ne suis pas déçu.
Toute l'enfance d'Harold est decrite, depuis la disparition de sa mère en passant par les rencontres avec Dagur, ses façons de draguer Astrid, comment il a appris la langue dragonese. Et la relation qu'il avait avec son grand-père Old Wrinkly.
Tu nous décrit comment il est debrouillard malgré son jeune age, ainsi que son caractere. Egalement comment tout le monde change d'attitude quand il passe de paria à Maitre Dragon.
Et toute ces aventures annexes, tu as une imagination débordante. C'est juste fantastique. Harold qui suit une formation de bretteur et en parallèle, il cherche le trésor du dernier roi de l'archipel. Tu nous montre la grosse évolution du Hiccstrid ( j'y reviendrai plus tard), la relation père/fils ainsi qu'avec ses amis. D'ailleurs, ils ont de la bonne dans les actions qu'ils entreprennent. Pour moi, ils ne veulent pas décevoir leur amis et chef. Ils veulent montrer qu'il peut leur faire confiance (ça dépend pour quoi).
Surtout aussi, les actions de Dagur envers Harold. J'adore comment il cherche à le nuire, à les capturer lui et Krokmou ( Toothless en anglais). On voit bien son obsession envers eux. Et à la fin, les voyant comment Viggo les traite. Il craque et aide Harold à s'echapper et veut enterrer la hache de guerre.
Maintenant, le Hiccstrid. OUI, OUI, OUI, et OUI. Oh mon Thor, tu nous a regaler avec tes passages et tes chapitres. On voit l'évolution de leur sentiments, pourquoi ils ne se dévoilent pas (surtout Astrid, être la petit-amie du fils du chef, quelle pression).
Leur rendez-vous, le premier baiser, leur pique-nique entre amoureux, le massage d'Astrid à Harold ainsi que ça vision en tant que petit-amie de l'héritier, leur complicité amoureuse en regardant le Karma Sutra (j'ai adoré ce chapitre), leur ballade en amoureux quand tout Beurk croyait qu'Harold aimait un homme alors qu'il voulait passer du temps seul avec Astrid sans être épier, leur amour physique et très intime. Mais surtout: elle a dit OUI. Oui, Astrid accepte d'épouser Harold. L'un des plus moments que je préfère.
Ouah, il y a tant à dire et pourtant, je ne trouve plus mes mots. Je te l'ait déja dit et je me répète encore: je souhaite de tout mon coeur que c'est une pause à longue durée qu'arrêt définitif. Même si tu dois reprendre ta fic à la fin de l'année, je m'en moque. Tu as encore du temps avant la sortie du film HTTYD 3 en 2019. Donc, j'attendrais les prochains chapitres avec impatience et je les commenteraient.
